The vertical, dark band stands in the left part of the wall and runs from the top edge to the bottom edge. From it to the right, as far as the edge of the image, extends a wide horizontal band, placed just below half the height; towards the right it grows lighter and has worn patches.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTwo gold circles lie where the bands cross. The larger one, at half height, overlaps the vertical band, while the smaller one hangs higher and slightly to the right. In the image their surface has vertical streaks, like brushstrokes, in shades from light gold to warm brown. The composition is ordered by thin gold and turquoise lines: vertical ones by the circles, horizontal ones on the right-hand side.
