It is watercolour-like and translucent, deepest in the bottom left corner and growing paler towards the top. The upper part, especially the top right corner, is a cream plane with a pattern of folds that look like relief in plaster or ripples in sand. The boundary between the two zones is drawn by a wavy gold line: it begins at the left edge, passes just below the middle of the wall and descends towards the bottom right corner, where it breaks up into cracked gold patches. Around it spreads a web of very fine gold strokes, densest in the middle of the wall, just above the line.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis is what sets this design apart from the similar TORN WASHI, in which the turquoise is a horizontal band and the gold lines are straight.
