The brown one runs behind: its head fills the upper left corner, the ears touch the top edge, and the dark muzzle comes close to the left. The white one is in front, right beside it; its head, with ears pricked, drops from the upper part of the image to about two thirds of the height. The white mane flows back over a curved neck, and the torso with tucked front legs fills the middle. Grey-green and beige shadows show on the white coat. The left side of the background is pale, beige and cream. The right is filled with abstract, rectangular planes of turquoise, rust, brown and navy, in which the rump and hind legs vanish. The whole has the texture of a worn, layered surface. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 464 cm wide), the head of the brown horse measures about 140 cm, that of the white one about 125 cm, and the muzzle of the white horse sits about 90 cm above the floor.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhat sets this design apart in the collection?\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eAmong the abstract horses in motion, this is the only design with two animals. In a library one armchair in turquoise leather on the right is enough: next to it you can see how large the heads are. In a restaurant, a bench in cognac leather and tables with white tablecloths stand under the abstract part of the image and the lower part of the white horse. In all three cases the left 40 per cent of the wall stays empty.
