To the right of centre two leaves overlap, and the largest spreads out low by the right edge. The upper half of the background is smooth and grey-green, shading towards the bottom into grey-blue. At mid-height runs a band of worn, mustard ochre with sea-green streaks. The lower part is taken up by cream plaster that flakes away to reveal pale blue; beneath the right-hand leaves dark streaks run down, and right by the floor lies a narrow graphite band. On a wall 260 cm high, the largest leaf is about 145 cm wide, the tallest is about 175 cm long including its stalk, and the cream plaster together with the graphite band reaches about 70 cm above the floor.
