On a wall 260 cm high with a full crop (about 460 cm wide), the head measures about 140 cm from the ears to the lower edge of the muzzle, and the muzzle ends about 110 cm above the floor. The coat is dark and brown, built from patches of brown, rust, navy and grey; the forelock and mane are almost black. A broad white blaze runs through the middle of the head, from forehead to nostrils, and it is the lightest spot on the horse. The legs dissolve downwards in broad brushstrokes. In a hallway a low oak bench under the horse's chest is enough, because at the entrance the image is seen from a few steps away and the head meets the eyes of whoever walks in.
