CHIAROSCURO - pale pampas wall mural in taupe tones for the bedroom

A row of tall plumes runs across the whole wall like a screen of soft light. The pale background and creamy plumes brighten the room, while the smoky hearts of the plumes add depth. A bedroom or bathroom becomes calmer and warmer, with no single strong focal point pulling the eye.

What does the design show?

Five dense clumps of pampas grass stand almost upright in a loose row across the full width of the image. On the left of the image is a broad clump with two plumes. In the centre and just right of centre stand single plumes, and by the right edge there is a double clump. Each plume is cream at the edges and smoky brown at the heart, so from a distance you see pale outlines around darker cores. The background is a light, warm greige; in the upper part, sweeping palette-knife strokes are clearly visible. The lower half is filled with thin, pale taupe stems, with no dark blades, so the bottom of the wall stays light. The rendering is soft and painterly, with fine fibres in every plume. On a wall 260 cm high, the tops of the clumps begin about 50 cm below the upper edge, and the plumes themselves are about 110–130 cm long.

Which interiors does it suit?

The most natural place is the bedroom, on the wall behind the headboard. The plumes begin high up, so a low headboard mainly covers the lower stems. Oat-coloured linen bedding, oak and walnut echo the beiges and taupes of the image. In a bathroom with decorative plaster, stone or wood, the pale background blends with the rest of the walls, and the grass adds lightness beside a freestanding bath. In a walk-in wardrobe, the design looks good behind a low island or pouffe: seen from 1–2 metres away, it reveals the fine drawing of the fibres. It suits Japandi and rustic styles, as well as calm interiors with linen, rattan and light wood.

How do you choose the size and material?

This pale pampas grass wall mural is one large image printed to fit your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall 260 cm high, the full image is about 462 cm wide; on a narrower wall you shift the crop to show the plumes you prefer. The main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas with a natural canvas weave, the most versatile, which brings out the soft fibres of the plumes, and Mura Vinyl Intonaco with a structured, trowelled plaster texture that ties in with the palette-knife strokes in the background. As an alternative, choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin, which gives the pale greige a grainy quality, or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven, on which the creamy edges of the plumes stay soft. In a bedroom, where you see the wall up close, canvas or non-woven gives a calm surface; on a wide wall viewed from several metres away, the plaster texture remains clearly visible.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample of your chosen design from the product page: we dispatch a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall and check how the greige and smoky brown look in your own light in the morning and evening, and what the texture of the material is like. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. The studio can also adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, and shipping within Poland and Europe is free. On request, we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, with an individual quote.

You will find more painterly pampas in warm beiges and browns in the Pampas Dusk collection, and other calm images for behind the bed among our bedroom wall murals. If you are torn between materials, book a consultation with our studio.
