A backdrop for the screen, not a spectacle

The wall behind the TV is the focal point of the living room – all eyes go there. A plain white wall can feel dull, while wallpaper that's too intense competes with the film. The key is balance: expressing style without distraction.

What patterns work behind the TV?

Textures – concrete, plaster, subtle structure. A background that intrigues without interfering. See Modern.

Subdued geometry – lines and rectangles in neutral colors. See Geometry in a muted palette.

Monochrome abstraction – one color in many tones. See Abstraction.

Concrete illusions – a raw, industrial character. See Concrete Illusions.

What to avoid behind the TV?

Intense colors, high-contrast patterns, large figures and faces. When watching a film, the eyes should rest on the background, not analyze the wallpaper.

Materials and installation

Wall murals are ready to install – you apply the adhesive to the wall, then glue the panels edge to edge with no overlap. Mura Vinyl and Mura Natur materials are washable (a damp cloth is enough); full waterproofing is provided by a resin coating. We also offer installation throughout Poland – individual quote on request.

Many of the patterns are created in collaboration with artists, giving the collection a more original character than typical catalog designs.

Warranty and certificates

  • 5-year warranty on products
  • Fire certificates – C-s1,d0 as standard, B-s1,d0 on request
  • Free samples of two selected materials
  • Free room visualization – send a photo of your wall and we'll prepare a preview

Questions and answers

Which wallpaper behind the TV is easiest on the eyes?

Subdued, low-contrast patterns work best – dark textures, graphite-toned abstracts, subtle gradients. Avoid white and light patterns that reflect light from the screen. We recommend Backgrounds and Modern Textures.

Should wallpaper behind the TV be matte?

Yes. Matte materials reduce light reflections, making it comfortable to watch films. Mura Vinyl and Mura Natur have a naturally matte finish.

Light or dark wallpaper behind the TV?

It depends on the screen and the lighting. In a bright living room, a darker wallpaper creates a "frame" for the TV. In a dark one, a lighter wallpaper doesn't compete with the screen.

Won't light from the screen damage the wallpaper?

Under normal use, light from the TV should not affect the wallpaper's appearance.

How do you match the pattern scale to the size of the screen?

The bigger the TV, the calmer and finer the pattern around it should be. On request, we'll adjust the crop to the dimensions of your wall.

The wall behind the TV vs. other solutions

A wall with a screen needs a background that's easy on the eyes. That's why minimalist wall murals work well here, and when a room lacks space, so do wall murals with a depth effect or wall murals that visually enlarge the room. For a calm, private zone, also take a look at wallpaper for the wall behind the bed.
