Collection: Ink & Ivory

In each of the sixteen designs, one plant is as dark as ink and another as pale as ivory. Graphite and navy palms, papyrus, bamboo, tall grasses and delicate shrubs stand beside their cream reflections on a weathered, painterly background in shades of grey-blue, sand and ochre. The result is a calm, neutral wall with crisp, clearly drawn outlines, suited to bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, studies, hallways and bathrooms.

How do you choose a design from this collection?

• Start with where your furniture stands. PAPYRUS STAND, TWIN SENTRIES and LEANING PLUMES have a dark plant on the left of the image and plenty of empty background in the centre or on the right. That is where you can place a bed, a chest of drawers or a bath without covering the darkest silhouette.
• For a long wall behind a sofa or bed, choose designs with a row of shrubs running across the full width: WILLOW SCREEN, TAMARISK, BRUSHWOOD or FILIGREE. The shrubs repeat across the entire width, so the crop is easy to set on a wall of any width.
• Match the scale to the viewing distance. In COUNTERPOINT the palm leaves are shown at a large scale, as if seen up close, so they look best on a wall viewed from a few metres away, for example in a dining room, hallway or restaurant.
• Decide how strong the contrast should be. PALM PENUMBRA and MONSOON feature bold, dark clusters of palms. BRUSHWOOD and DOVE FILIGREE are lighter and more airy, with a pale grey background in the upper part, making them a calmer choice for a bedroom.
• Consider the colour temperature. Light oak, linen and browns pair well with the warmer NILE MARSH in a taupe shade and WILLOW SCREEN, whose background shifts into warm sand and ochre. For greys and black, choose the cooler SLATE HEATH in a slate-blue shade.

How can you check a design before ordering?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall; you set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. Order a sample of your chosen design: we dispatch a print of approximately 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials within 1–3 working days. The sample shows you how the navy, graphite and cream look in your own light. On request, we will adapt the composition, colour palette and crop to your interior.
