AERIAL ATOLL - turquoise wall mural like alcohol ink, with gold

Vivid turquoise, a white current on the diagonal and dense gold patches in the top left corner: this wall resembles an atoll seen from a plane. It is a strong, saturated design for a feature wall that is meant to draw the eye from the moment you walk in.

What can you see in the design?

AERIAL ATOLL looks like alcohol ink or tinted resin poured onto a smooth panel: the colours form cells, small rings and thin white outlines. A white-cream current starts at the top edge, to the left of the middle, and flows diagonally to the bottom right corner, growing wider. On both sides of it lie cells of vivid turquoise. In the upper left part you will find the darkest, sea turquoise, densely covered with irregular gold patches; they scatter diagonally downwards, as far as the bottom edge to the right of the middle. The top right corner is a grey-blue plane that looks like stone, dusted with gold, and the bottom left one is light blue and smooth.

Resin and stone are here purely the look of the image, and the gold is a printed colour. You can tell this turquoise alcohol ink wall mural from the similar GLACIAL SILK by three features: the current is narrower, the turquoise has cells, and the gold forms a dense band. At the scale of a wall 260 cm high the image is about 462 cm wide: the current is about 25 cm wide at the top and about 70 cm at the bottom edge, and the band of gold patches in the top left corner is about 55 cm wide.

What kind of interior does it suit?

In a living room it needs calm company: a light stone floor, a white sofa, a table in brass and glass. The fewer colours in the furniture, the clearer the diagonal of the current.

It is also a design for bars, restaurants and hotels. In an Art Deco cocktail bar, with cream terrazzo, round brass tables and velvet armchairs, the gold patches link up with the metal of the furniture, and the vivid turquoise stays legible in dimmed evening light. In a seaside hotel suite, with white stone and rattan, the wall takes over the role of a view: from an armchair you look at it up close, and then you can see the individual cells.

How do you choose the size and material?

The whole atoll is one image printed to the size of your wall. The “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page lets you set the size, material and crop. If the wall is about 3 m wide at a height of 260 cm, about two thirds of the image will fit in the crop; the left part will give more gold and dark turquoise, the right more white and grey-blue.

Of the materials, we recommend Mura Vinyl Canvas and Mura Vinyl Intonaco first. Canvas has the texture of natural canvas, is the most versatile and softens the sharp, glassy transitions between the cells. Intonaco, with the texture of trowelled plaster, has a pronounced structure; together with the stone-like pattern of the top right corner it gives the impression of a tinted wall rather than a poster. You can also choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia, whose distinct coarse sand grain texture is neither smooth nor satin and adds grain to the gold patches, or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven, if you prefer to show strong colours on a matt background.

How can you buy with confidence?

Vivid turquoise is a colour that screens show very differently, so base your decision about this wall on a print. You order the sample, that is a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, from the product page, and we dispatch it within 1–3 working days. You will judge the colours and the texture of the material at home, at different times of day.

You can see the whole thing beforehand in an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, which you make on the product page; on request our team will also prepare a studio visualisation, in 1–2 working days. If the turquoise is too strong for your floor, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop on request. We usually complete orders in 3–7 working days. Shipping is free in Poland and Europe, and to other countries it is charged at the rate in the basket. On request we also arrange installation throughout Europe, priced individually. The print of this design is eco-friendly and certified.

The Turquoise and Gold collection shows calmer, lighter versions of this palette. You will find similarly bold compositions among the artistic wall murals of the Abstraction collection, and for a venue or hotel project begin with a consultation with our team.
