Collection: Azure Drift

Ginkgo leaves in a cool palette of blue, turquoise and grey-blue – seventeen wall murals for people who want a calm, watery colour on their wall. Some designs show misty horizons of pale leaves above a worn, peeling lower part, others – see-through, watercolour leaves with thin lines in the colour of ochre. The images suit bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, dining rooms and studies.

How do you choose a design from this collection?

• Decide on the character of the wall. If you like the patina of an old wall, choose a design with a peeling lower part, such as TIDEPOOL, SEAWALL, CRACKLE GLAZE or LILAC STUCCO. If you prefer the lightness of watercolour on a smooth ground, reach for TEAL PARASOLS, VERDIGRIS or ORGANZA.
• Match the depth of the blue to the light. The lightest designs, such as SALT AIR, TEAL PARASOLS or TURQUOISE WEFT, will brighten a bathroom or a hall. The deep, sea-blue band in SEAWALL and TALC AND TEAL comes across most fully in a bright room with a large window. Warm accents are brought by the beige in TIDEPOOL and the peach in APRICOT CIRRUS, and shades of lilac and mint by LILAC STUCCO, MOCHA LACE and MINT SORBET.
• Think about the furniture in front of the wall. In designs with a worn lower part, a sofa or bed hides only the pale band at the bottom, and the leaves stay above it. In most of the watercolour designs the leaves float in the upper part of the wall, and only thin stalks fall lower down.
• Check the scale. The large fans of TIDEPOOL can be seen clearly from the far end of the room, while the dense clumps of CRACKLE GLAZE and the layered leaves of CLOUDBURST are worth viewing up close, for example in a study.
• Choose the material. Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with the texture of trowelled plaster, will emphasise the worn lower parts, and Mura Vinyl Canvas, with the texture of natural canvas, suits the watercolours. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain, and the matt non-woven Mura Natur.

Before you buy, order a sample of your chosen design from the product page: we ship a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials in 1–3 working days. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page.

You will find similar moods among the watercolour wall murals, the Japanese and wabi-sabi wall murals and the bathroom wall murals.
