APRIL RAIN - green ginkgo leaf wall mural for a living room

Pale ginkgo fans stand here on long, thin stalks like plants growing straight up from the floor, and behind them vertical bands of green flow down, reminding you of April rain on a windowpane. The wall gains rhythm and height but stays calm, because the whole palette sits between sage, mint and olive.

What can you see in the design?

The ground is sage green, crossed by vertical, distressed bands of olive, moss and mint – they look like the traces of a wide brush drawn from top to bottom. On the left side of the image two leaves stand one above the other, and a third leans out by the top edge. In the middle three pale mint fans overlap at different heights, and to the right of centre the largest leaf opens out, cut off by the top edge. Each leaf is built from dense, thin, pale lines with the painterly look of brushstrokes; this is a printed effect, not a raised layer of paint.

The stalks run all the way down to the bottom edge, where two small, pale leaflets can be seen. The right-hand fifth of the image is the same ground with lighter bands, so on that side the composition has some free space. On a wall 260 cm high the whole image is about 4.6 m wide, the largest leaf about 160 cm wide, and the other fans about 90–140 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

Living room. The vertical bands visually raise the wall, so the design looks good behind a low sofa in sage or stone-coloured fabric – as in the living room setting in a villa on Lake Geneva, with a bouclé sofa and a round walnut table. Pale travertine, oak and walnut bring out the mint of the leaves.

Dining room. Place a round table with rod-back chairs in the middle of the room: the backs will hide only the stalks and the lower tips of the lower leaves, and the largest fan will stay above the tabletop. Green glass on the table and pale wood will repeat the colours of the design.

Office and meeting room. Behind a long table you can see the whole row of leaves from left to right, while the grey-green leather of the armchairs and the dark terrazzo go with the olive bands of the ground.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print APRIL RAIN as a single image to the size of your wall, and you set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall narrower than about 4.6 m, decide in the crop whether the largest leaf to the right of centre matters more, or the row of leaves on the left; the calm right-hand edge is the easiest to trim.

Before you order a whole wall, request a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we ship in 1–3 working days. Pin it up next to the window and check how the mint and olive look in the morning and under a lamp, and what texture the chosen material has. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page; if you prefer, we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. On request, the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop to the interior, for example by moving the leaves closer to the middle of the wall.
