AQUA DREAMER - white whale wall mural for a child’s room

A cream-white whale swims across the full width of the wall, and around it stretches a turquoise sky with soft clouds. The image is calm and easy to read even for a young child: one large figure, a gentle snout, a clear eye and two colours that go with light furniture.

What does the design show?

AQUA DREAMER is a single whale in a horizontal arrangement. The head is on the left of the image, the tail rises by the right-hand edge, and the body takes up the middle band of the wall. The skin is cream-white, slightly warmer by the belly, with fine furrows under the snout. A small, dark blue eye and the slightly curved line of the mouth give the animal a gentle expression.

The sky is turquoise shading into sea green. Cream clouds surround the whale on all sides, and the largest lie at the top. The image looks like canvas with worn patches, and its edges are slightly darker. On a wall 260 cm high the image is about 460 cm wide and the whale about 3.6 m long; its eye then falls about 130 cm above the floor.

The closest design to it is QUIET GIANT, which also has a white whale swimming to the left. There the sky is cool, grey-blue and full of angular brushstrokes, and the whale is about 2.5 m long. Here the background is warmer, turquoise-green and smoother, and the figure is larger and more illustrative, like something from a children’s book.

Which child’s room does it suit?

This whale wall mural for kids is made for children of pre-school and early school age: the figure is large, gentle and recognisable at once. In a pre-schooler’s bedroom, put it on the wall behind a low bed. The whale’s body begins about 80 cm above the floor and the fins come down to about 60 cm, so a bed without a high headboard will hide only the lower clouds. Birch, pine, rattan and cream bedding go with the turquoise.

In a playroom, the design needs a wide wall, ideally about 4 m wide, so that the whole whale is visible. Low shelves, floor cushions and a tent stay beneath it, and the turquoise background goes with natural wood and wicker. In a reading nook in an attic, a narrower crop is enough: a small armchair, a bookcase with books and a lamp then stand right under the whale’s head.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print the design as a single image to the size of your wall, and you set its dimensions, the material and the crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall narrower than about 3.6 m and 260 cm high, decide which matters more: the head with the eye or the raised tail, because you cannot fit both.

First of all we recommend Mura Vinyl Canvas and Mura Vinyl Intonaco. Canvas has the weave of natural canvas and is the most versatile; it echoes the weave visible in the image itself, so the wall looks like a large canvas. Intonaco, with a trowelled plaster texture, is structured and gives the turquoise sky the look of an old, painted wall. As an alternative, consider Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain: it is neither smooth nor satin, and the grain is visible up close on the whale’s pale body. A fourth option is Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic; its matt finish suits the cream white.

How can you buy with confidence?

Turquoise on a screen and on a wall can differ, especially in the warm light of a lamp. So order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, shipped in 1–3 working days. In your child’s room you can compare the colours and the texture of the material with the furniture and bedding.

How the whale will look above the bed, you can check yourself with an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, available on the product page. On request we will prepare a studio visualisation, in 1–2 working days, and the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to the interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, and shipping in Poland and Europe is free; for other countries we charge it at the rate shown in the basket. On request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe with an individual quote. The printing is eco-friendly and certified.

You will find the other whales, including those on blue, beige and navy skies, in the Sky Whales collection. We have gathered more designs for the youngest among wallpapers for children’s rooms, and a consultation with our studio will help you choose the crop and material.
