BRASS MERIDIAN - mural with gold circles and turquoise bands for offices

A calm, orderly wall: a cream background, a vertical and a horizontal band of turquoise, and two gold circles gathered on the left. What can you see in the design?

BRASS MERIDIAN is based on two bands of turquoise set at a right angle. The vertical, dark band stands in the left part of the wall and runs from the top edge to the bottom edge. From it to the right, as far as the edge of the image, extends a wide horizontal band, placed just below half the height; towards the right it grows lighter and has worn patches.

Two gold circles lie where the bands cross. The larger one, at half height, overlaps the vertical band, while the smaller one hangs higher and slightly to the right. In the image their surface has vertical streaks, like brushstrokes, in shades from light gold to warm brown. The composition is ordered by thin gold and turquoise lines: vertical ones by the circles, horizontal ones on the right-hand side. The background is cream, with a few pale rectangles on the left and at the bottom.

In MODERNIST SUNS, the other design with circles, the circles lie on a diagonal, on a white background and with a slanting line; here both keep to the left side, the background is cream, and the main lines are vertical or horizontal.

Which room does it suit?

In a study or an office it is the backdrop behind the desk. With the full crop the horizontal band runs just above the desktop, and the gold circles stay above it on the left. Walnut, travertine, cream upholstery and brass details repeat the colours of the design.

In a living room it suits low furniture and calm, Japandi-style interiors: place the sofa on the right, against the horizontal band, and a sideboard beneath the circles. The empty, cream space at the top right is the place for a television: it will not cover the circles.

In a hall, a narrow console beneath the large circle and a single lamp are enough. The circles and bands tie in with Art Deco: terrazzo, brass and alabaster.

How do you choose the size and material?

You are buying a single image printed to the size of your wall, and you set its width, height, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 462 cm wide), the large circle is about 85 cm in diameter, the small one about 55 cm, the vertical band about 30 cm wide and the horizontal one about 55 cm high. The circles and the vertical band fit within the left 200 cm or so of the image; on a narrower wall, keep this part in the crop.

The cream of the background should match your walls and ceiling, and you cannot judge that on a screen. So order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials. We dispatch it within 1–3 working days, and you check the colours and the texture of the material at home, by the window and by a lamp.

On request, our team makes a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. If a window or door falls on the left, the studio will, on request, adapt the composition, colours and crop so that the circles land on a free section of wall.
