CAMEO - wall mural with large ginkgo leaves for a living room and hotel

Creamy white leaves arranged in a wide garland look like a porcelain bas-relief enlarged to cover a whole wall. This is a design for an interior that is meant to be elegant and light at the same time: it fills the wall completely, and yet it does not bring a single strong colour into the room.

What can you see in the design?

Large white and cream ginkgo leaves fill almost the whole frame. They follow thin, beige stalks that run in an arc from the left side of the image through the middle towards the right edge, like a garland. At the left, top and right edges the leaves are cropped, so the composition seems to extend beyond the wall.

The leaves have smooth, sculptural shading and distinct edges, which is why they look like a bas-relief or porcelain – an illusion created by light and shadow in the image. The background is ivory with delicately rubbed-back brushwork, and the only accents are pale grey and sandy shadows between the leaves. The scale is large: on a wall 260 cm high the biggest leaves are about 1.3–1.4 m at the widest point, that is roughly half the height of the wall.

Which interiors does it suit?

Hotel suite. Behind a low, wide bed with a pale headboard the garland creates a stately backdrop, as in an old grand hotel. It goes with a herringbone parquet, marble bedside tables and a bouclé bench at the foot of the bed.

Living room. In a modern, light interior with limestone and a cream bouclé sofa, one large garland replaces pictures and shelves. A low sofa will cover only the bottom band, and the whole arc of leaves will remain visible.

Dining room. With a round marble table in the middle of the room, the large leaves are visible above the chair backs, and the white and sand go with pale boards and linen upholstery.

How do you choose the size and material?

CAMEO is one large image printed to the size of your wall; in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you set the size, material and crop. The leaves are large, so the design looks fullest on a wide wall – at a height of 260 cm the full image is about 4.6 m wide. On a narrower wall choose in the crop a fragment of the arc with the largest leaves in the middle.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile; up close the weave shows through the smooth shading of the leaves.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – the structured texture of trowelled plaster, which together with the sculptural shading completes the impression of a bas-relief in plaster.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative with a pronounced coarse sand grain, which is neither smooth nor satin; it suits a large living room or hotel hall viewed from a few metres away.
• Mura Natur – an alternative: an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven; the matt finish emphasises the porcelain smoothness of the pale leaves.

How can you buy with confidence?

White and ivory over a large area look different from how they do on a screen, so start with a sample. You order a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials from the product page, and we will ship it in 1–3 working days; hold it against the wall next to bedding, upholstery or marble. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and for a living room or hotel room we will prepare a studio visualisation on request in 1–2 working days. On request, the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop of the design to the interior, for example by changing the course of the garland. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, we ship free of charge within Poland and Europe, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, priced individually.
