CANEBRAKE - wall mural with reeds and long leaves for the bedroom

A dense wall of reeds, where dark plumes and long leaves cross from floor to ceiling, quietens a room like a view of an overgrown riverbank on a cloudy day. The grey-beige ground and the muted, graphite-olive green do not compete with the furniture, and the interior gains depth without a single strong colour.

What does the design show?

The image is filled with reed plumes and dozens of long, narrow leaves that cross over the entire surface, from the bottom edge to the top. In the top left corner a large plume curves to the right, a straight, upright plume stands at the top centre, and in the right-hand part of the image a second large plume droops towards the right edge. Lower down, in the left half, two smaller plumes lean to the right, while others rise from the bottom left corner and from the bottom right of the image. Here the leaves matter as much as the plumes: they form a dense mesh of diagonal lines that draws the eye upwards.

Behind the dark layer you can see a second, pale layer of plants, as if in mist. The background is light, grey-beige, speckled and lightly distressed, with a fine grain and off-white highlights. On a wall 260 cm high, the large plumes at the top are about 100 cm long, and the longest leaves reach about 130 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

Its most natural place is the bedroom. The headboard will cover only the lower band of leaves, while the plumes at the top stay fully visible above your head. The subdued colours pair well with linen bedding, light oak and jute, which is why this reed leaves and plumes wall mural suits Japandi, Scandinavian and modern farmhouse styles.

In the hallway the dense mesh of diagonal leaves brings life to a wall you pass at a distance of one or two metres – up close you can then see the fine grain of the background and the pale second layer of plants. In a study or meeting room, the monochrome greenery softens concrete, steel and grey felt without introducing colour that would distract from work. The dining room image in the gallery also shows that the design welcomes a warm accent: chairs in muted pink and the dark wood of the table.

How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall, with no repeats. At a height of 260 cm the whole image is about 460 cm wide. On a narrower wall you choose a section, for example with the straight plume in the centre, in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page, where you also set the size and the material.
