SKU:012#Horses

A horse at full gallop, built from yellow, orange, red and turquoise, cuts across a pale wall from edge to edge. The room gets movement and colour in one place, so the furniture, the floor and the other walls can stay white or sand.

What does the design show?

CARNIVAL GALLOP shows a single horse running to the left. The head, with an upright ear, is in the upper left corner of the image, the neck stretches forward, the black mane streams behind it almost horizontally, and the black tail reaches the right edge. The body is made of rectangular patches: yellow on the shoulder and back, orange and turquoise on the flank, red and violet on the rump, with navy in the shadows. The front legs are thrown far forward and the hind legs back, so the whole silhouette forms one long, horizontal line. The background is white-grey, with rectangles in ochre and sand, densest on the left side of the image. The paint looks as if applied thickly with a palette knife: you can see the edges and ridges of the strokes. On a wall 260 cm high with a full crop (about 464 cm wide), the head measures about 85 cm from the ear to the nostrils, and the horse's belly sits about 90 cm above the floor.

How does it differ from TANGERINE TROT?

The collection has two horses made of coloured patches, both facing left. TANGERINE TROT trots with its head held high on a cream background with turquoise and brick-red bands; it has navy legs, and orange and pink dominate in the body. Here the horse gallops with an outstretched neck, the background is cooler, white-grey with ochre, and there is more yellow, red and turquoise in the patches.

Which interior does it suit?

In a living room with a pale floor and a white sofa the design is the only strong accent: two cushions, mustard and cobalt, are enough to tie the furniture to the wall. In a meeting room or a design studio the gallop brings energy, and the white-grey background does not darken the room. A third option is a café or bistro, where the ochre leather of the seats and the white marble of the tables repeat the colours of the background. In each of these interiors put the furniture in the middle and on the right, under the horse's belly and legs, and leave the left part of the wall free. The head is high, just under the ceiling, so do not hang a lamp or a shelf in front of it.

How do you choose the size and material?

This colourful horse wall mural is one image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. At a height of 260 cm, a wall narrower than about 4.6 m will not take the whole silhouette: shift the crop so that the head stays and the end of the tail falls outside the wall.

The two main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas, the most versatile, with a natural canvas texture, and the textured Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with a trowelled plaster texture. The canvas weave goes with paint that looks thickly laid on, and plaster brings the rectangles of the background closer to a wall painting. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a distinct coarse sand grain texture, the material is neither smooth nor satin – and Mura Natur, an ecological non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How do you buy with confidence?

Saturated yellow and red look different in daylight and under lamps, so start with a sample: a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials, ordered from the product page and sent within 1–3 working days. On it you will check the colours and the texture of the material next to your own floor and furniture. On the product page you can also make an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself, and we prepare a studio visualisation on request within 1–2 working days. If you wish, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and to other countries it follows the rate shown in the basket. We arrange installation across Europe on request, after an individual quote.

You will find portraits, pairs and herds of horses in the Horses collection, and other designs for a large wall in the section wall murals and wallpapers for the living room. Not sure which of the two colourful horses to choose? Ask our studio during a consultation.
