CASHMERE MANE - beige wall mural with white horse for living room

A white horse stands against a beige wall, looking sideways, calm and still. The image is smooth and light, so it does not take light away from the room, and yet it is clear at once what matters most in it.

What can you see in the design?

CASHMERE MANE shows a white horse in profile, facing left. The head sits in the middle of the image, slightly to the left: ears in the upper part, a clearly outlined dark eye, and a muzzle with dark nostrils at two thirds of the height. The long white mane falls in straight strands along the neck and drifts with it towards the right, where it dissolves into white. The background is made of vertical bands of beige, cream and white: warmer and darker on the left, lighter on the right, with a white patch showing through in the top right corner. The brushstrokes are broad and smooth, and the weave of canvas shows beneath them. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 460 cm wide), the head measures about 155 cm from ears to muzzle, and the muzzle sits about 75 cm above the floor.

How does it differ from similar designs?

Among the light portraits this is the simplest: a clean profile, the head held high, a smooth mane. In HONEY HUSH the horse lowers its head against a warmer, honey-coloured background, and in LINEN MUSE it looks straight at you. If you prefer a clear drawing with plenty of beige around it, choose CASHMERE MANE.

Which interior does it suit?

In a living room in beiges, the horse takes the place of a picture above the sofa: put a long, low sofa in cream linen under the mane, at the right end of the wall, and leave at most a low pouffe beneath the muzzle. In a hall, a low stone bench on the right is enough; travertine and pale plaster share the same creamy tones as the background. The design also suits a teenager's room, especially one belonging to someone who rides: a low bed without a headboard fits under the muzzle, and a chest of drawers with a small lamp under the mane. It is a room for young people, in which a portrait will stay for years.

How do you choose the size and material?

This beige wall mural with white horse is a single image prepared to the size of your wall. On a wall narrower than about 4.6 m (at a height of 260 cm) part of the image drops away: it is better to shorten the beige background on the left than the mane, because the mane leads the eye to the right.
