CELADON HOUR - mint green horse mural for bedroom and living room

Mint at the top, peachy cream at the bottom, and a pale horse that stands side-on and turns its head towards the viewer. This design is more about colour than movement: it brings a fresh, cool plane into the room and warms it from the floor up.

What does the design show?

CELADON HOUR shows a single horse with a pale, cream-grey coat, facing left. The head, with a dark muzzle and a dark eye, sits left of centre: the ears touch the top edge, and the nostrils fall a little above halfway up. On a wall 260 cm high with a full crop (about 460 cm wide), the head measures about 155 cm from the ears to the lower edge of the muzzle, the muzzle ends about 105 cm above the floor, and the whole horse, from muzzle to rump, takes up about 320 cm of width. The back and rump stretch out as a pale, almost white patch towards the right edge, with shades of powdery pink and beige. Under the neck there is a dark green-brown accent, the strongest point of the composition. The top and left side of the background are filled by a flat mint-turquoise patch, which lower down turns into peachy cream. The paint looks as if laid on in broad, flat strokes with ragged edges.

How does it differ from similar designs?

Among the portraits in the collection this is the only one with such a saturated mint background. NORTH WIND and SMOKE AND UMBER have misty, blue-grey backgrounds and the horse's head in the middle. Here the head is shifted to the left, and the right half of the wall is taken up by the pale body.

Which interior does it suit?

In a bedroom, place the bed against the right half of the wall: it will hide the lower body and legs, and the head stays uncovered on the left. Mint goes well with ivory bedding, walnut or oak wood, and one accent in celadon. In a living room the peachy bottom of the image meets a sofa in beige or sand and a travertine table; in front of the left part of the wall a very low bench is enough. In a dressing room the design acts as a backdrop for light clothes: a cream bench under the horse's back, a rail to the side, away from the head. Keep hanging lamps and tall plants away from the upper left part of the wall.

How do you choose the size and material?

This mint green wall mural with a horse is one image printed to the size of your wall. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you enter the dimensions, choose the material and move the crop. At a height of 260 cm, a wall narrower than about 330 cm will not take the whole horse: shift the crop to the left so that the head stays and the rump is cut off.

On Mura Vinyl Canvas, the most versatile material, with a natural canvas texture, the flat mint gets a delicate weave. The textured Mura Vinyl Intonaco has a trowelled plaster texture that breaks up the large smooth fields of colour and brings them closer to a brush-painted wall. As an alternative consider Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a distinct coarse sand grain texture, a material that is neither smooth nor satin – or Mura Natur, an ecological non-woven: matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How do you buy with confidence?

Mint is a colour that can look different on a phone screen and on a wall, so a sample makes particular sense here. You order it from the product page: it is a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we send within 1–3 working days. On it you can check the colours and the texture of the material next to your furniture and floor. You make the AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request our team prepares a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. The studio can also adapt the composition, colours and crop, for example by shifting the horse in relation to the bed. We usually complete orders in 3–7 working days. Shipping within Poland and Europe is free, outside Europe it follows the rate shown in the basket, and we arrange installation across Europe on request, after an individual quote.

More horses, from calm portraits to galloping herds, await in the Horses collection. We have gathered other artistic motifs from the animal world in the section artistic wall murals and wallpapers with animals.
