CHARCOAL RUSHES - minimalist reed wall mural for the office

A few dark plumes on a pale, distressed grey are enough to stop a wall looking empty without making the room feel cramped. The plants are drawn as if in ink on paper, with plenty of calm background left between them. This minimalist reed wall mural brings order to a space where you work, relax or welcome guests.

What does the design show?

The composition is sparse and reads clearly from a distance. On the left of the image grows a clump of four plumes; the two upper ones lean to the left, towards the edge of the wall. In the centre stands a single large plume, the darkest of all, curving to the right, and it is the first thing that catches the eye. On the right of the image, two straight plumes and a thin, lighter spike reach the top edge, while the far right margin is left empty. Along the bottom edge stand small, blurred, globe-shaped flower heads that gently close the image at the base.

The background is a warm, pale grey with glimpses of beige, horizontal streaks and a delicate grain. The plants are grey-olive and graphite, with no pale, creamy accents. On a wall 260 cm high, the central plume measures about 120 cm, the flower heads at the bottom about 10 cm in diameter, and the empty strip on the right of the image about 50 cm wide.

Which interiors does it suit?

Office and study. Graphite and olive pair well with walnut, steel and raw concrete, and the open background will not distract you while you work. Behind a desk, the image also makes a calm backdrop in the frame of a video call.

Bathroom. Alongside dark stone, wood and linen, the reeds look like the view from a window on an overcast day. On a wall 2–3 m wide behind the bath, the central plume stays in view even with low fitted units.

Hotel. In a lounge, lobby or guest room, the image suits Scandinavian and Japandi styles: pale wool, grey stone and simple furniture echo its palette, and a low sofa will cover only the bottom band of stems.

How do you choose the size and finish?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall, decide whether the left clump or the right-hand group reaching the top edge should stay beside the central plume.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – a natural canvas weave, the most versatile of the materials; seen up close, for example in a study, it adds a subtle woven texture to the ink drawing.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a structured trowelled plaster texture that brings out the horizontal, distressed streaks of the background on a large wall viewed from several metres away.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin; it pairs with the grain of the background.
• Mura Natur – an alternative: an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic, with soft transitions of grey.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we dispatch within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall in daylight and artificial light and check how the graphite and warm grey look next to your furniture. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you would like to change the arrangement of the plants or the shade of the background, on request our studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days. Shipping within Poland and Europe is free; to other countries, it is charged at the rate shown in the basket. On request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, with an individual quote.

You will find more plumes in matt grey in the Silver Reeds collection, and calm walls with plenty of open background in the Minimalist collection. If you are unsure which crop to choose, book a consultation with our team.
