A dense meadow of ginkgo above an old, cracked wall: the leaves grow in clumps and overlap, and beneath them the paint breaks into a fine network of cracks. The image brings the patina of an old house into the room, yet stays in a light, cool tone of blue and cream.

What can you see in the design?

The ginkgo leaves grow in groups of several on branching stems and form a compact band across the whole width of the image. In the left half, sand-beige and translucent grey fans predominate; in the middle and on the right side of the image they are white, drawn with fine vein lines, and by the right edge stand two tall white leaves. The background moves from pale blue at the top to a grey-blue, sea-coloured band behind the leaves, down which vertical drips run.

The lower part on the left is cracked, peeling pale turquoise and cream paint with a dense network of cracks, and on the right smoother, cream brushstrokes. The cracks and lines are part of the image, not of the wall's texture. On a wall 260 cm high, a single fan is about 30–40 cm tall and 50–75 cm wide, the band of leaves takes up about 140 cm, and the cracked lower part about 85 cm. The leaves here are smaller and more densely arranged, so you will appreciate the detail of the drawing up close.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a study, this design goes with dark wood: a rosewood or walnut desk, a brass lamp with a globe shade, and a cognac leather armchair with a throw in slate turquoise. In the dining room of a stone house it is completed by a long bleached-oak table, ladder-back chairs painted a faded grey-blue and rush seats; the chair backs reach only the cracked band. In a wabi-sabi living room, combine it with a low sofa in grey linen, an elm table with a raw edge and a paper lamp. The patina also suits vintage and rustic styles, and on the neighbouring walls, warm white or grey-beige plaster.

How do you choose the size and material?

You buy the design as one image printed to the size of your wall; you enter the dimensions in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page and set the crop there. The dense clumps mean that even a narrow section, about 1.5 m, looks full. At a height of 260 cm the full image is about 460 cm wide; on a narrower wall, decide whether the cracked lower part on the left side of the image matters more, or the white leaves on the right.

Mura Vinyl Intonaco suits this design especially well: its trowelled plaster texture gives the surface structure, so the printed cracks look as if they were on an old wall. The second main material, Mura Vinyl Canvas, has the texture of natural canvas and is the most versatile; it softens the contrast between the leaves and the cracks. As an alternative, choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin, or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven – matt, odourless and hypoallergenic – on which the fine drawing of the veins stays clean.

How can you buy with confidence?

The simplest way to check the design is to order a sample from the product page: we ship a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials in 1–3 working days. You can order it on Intonaco and Canvas at once, to compare both textures in your own light, next to dark wooden furniture. You can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room on the product page; on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. If you want fewer cracks, or the clumps to stand somewhere else, the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop on request. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe costs nothing, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, with an individual quote.

You will find more ginkgo leaves above a worn wall in the Azure Drift collection, and images with a similar, calm patina among the Japanese and wabi-sabi wall murals. You can also book a consultation on choosing the crop.
