DOVE FILIGREE - light grey wall mural with shrubs for the bedroom

Dense, fine twigs trace a delicate mesh across the wall, much like ink lines on pale paper. From a distance you see a calm, light surface; up close, a meticulous illustration of shrubs. The warm, sandy lower part of the background keeps the grey from feeling cold, and the room gains depth without strong colours.

What does the design show?

The motif is a loose row of feathery shrubs with very fine, densely branching twigs, spread across the full width of the image. Dark grey shrubs fill the lower two thirds of the wall, and the tallest reach to within a quarter of the height from the top. Above them and in the gaps between them, white and pale beige shrubs of the same shape show through. They look like a light reflection of the dark ones and give the composition a light, lacy feel. The background is light grey in the upper half and shifts towards peach sand and light ochre near the bottom edge. A mottled texture of worn plaster is visible across the entire surface. On a wall 260 cm high, the tallest dark shrubs measure about 195 cm, while the light crowns occupy roughly the top 115 cm of the image, so the plants appear on the wall at a scale close to real life.

Which interiors does it suit?

In the bedroom, place this light grey botanical wall mural behind the bed: the dark shrubs rise high above the headboard, while the light crowns remain above it as a calm backdrop. It works with bedding in greys, white and linen, and with light oak. In a north-facing room, the warm lower part of the background balances the cool light. How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page: for a narrower wall, choose a section with two or three shrubs, while the full row takes up about 4.6 m in width at a height of 260 cm. There are two main materials. Mura Vinyl Canvas has the texture of natural canvas and is the most versatile – the fine twigs stay legible on it even up close, right beside the bed. Mura Vinyl Intonaco has a trowelled plaster texture that brings out the worn background of the design and, in side light from a window, gives the wall a distinct structure. As an alternative, consider Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with its pronounced coarse sand grain, best viewed from a few steps away, for example in a large hotel room, and Mura Natur – an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven on which the light background looks soft.

Hold it against the wall in daylight and evening light, and check how the grey and sandy tones look next to your bedding and floor, and what texture the material has.
