DOVE GRASSES - grey wall mural with soft grasses for the bathroom

Six soft clumps of grass stand along the wall like plants seen through mist. Grey-olive plumes on a light, distressed background bring calm to the room: there are no contrasting accents and no single point that pulls the eye, just an even rhythm that brings order to the whole wall from floor to ceiling.

What does the design show?

An even row of wide, fan-shaped clumps runs across the full width of the image. The first is cropped at the left edge, two stand in the left half, two to the right of centre – the left one of these reaching the top edge – and the sixth is cropped at the right edge. The plumes are feathery and soft-focus, in a single mid grey-olive tone, with no light accents. At the base they turn into dense, slender blades. The background is light grey shading into grey-beige; its texture recalls crumpled silk, broken up by cloud-like distressed patches. The top band is left almost empty, so the wall has room to breathe below the ceiling.

On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 464 cm wide. The clumps are about 230–260 cm high and about 80–110 cm wide, a single feathery plume is about 60 cm long, and the empty band at the top is about 25 cm. These are plants taller than an adult, so the design looks best when at least two full clumps are visible.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a bathroom, the grey of the grasses pairs well with terrazzo, concrete, white ceramics and steel fittings. The design has no light patches, so in the evening, under warm light, the wall stays calm and the plumes look like a view through a window – as in the room setting with a freestanding bath that hides only the lower blades.

In an entrance hall, the rhythm of the clumps leads the eye along the wall. A low oak console or a woven bench in front of it is all you need: furniture lower than about 90 cm leaves the plumes uncovered. In a Japandi, Scandinavian or coastal bedroom, the grey-olive tone pairs well with linen, pale birch and ivory ceramics. Behind a low bed, on a wall about 3–4 m wide, three or four clumps will fit.

How do you choose the size and material?

DOVE GRASSES is a single image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall, shift the crop so that the tallest clump, the one reaching the top edge, sits in the centre; on a wide wall, keep the whole row of six clumps.

The main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas, with a natural canvas weave – the most versatile, it brings out the silky character of the background – and Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with a trowelled plaster texture, a structured finish that works with the cloudy, distressed patches and, in side light from a window, gives the wall the look of plaster. As an alternative, consider Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain – it is neither smooth nor satin, so you will see the grain from about a metre away, for example in a narrow hallway – or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven, on which the soft plumes stay quiet and hazy – a good fit for a bedroom.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you commit to a whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. With the sample at home, you can check how the grey-olive tone looks next to your tiles or fabrics and which texture you prefer. You can create an AI visualisation yourself on the product page, using a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you would like a warmer tone or a different arrangement of the clumps, we will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and the print is eco-friendly and certified. On request, we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.

You will find more grey reeds and grasses in the same matt palette in the Silver Reeds collection, and calm walls with a restrained palette in the Minimalist collection. If you are torn between designs, book a design selection consultation.
