DUSK GALE - dark pampas grass wall mural for the living room

Pale plumes of pampas grass bend over a dark background as if caught in a gust of evening wind. The wall gains depth and strong contrast, and the room takes on a warm, muted mood that pairs well with wood, linen and lamplight. A single composition across the whole wall becomes the focal point of the room.

What does the design show?

On a graphite-brown background, covered in horizontal brushstrokes, large-scale cream pampas grass plumes stand tall. On the left of the image, two tall plumes rise, and the outermost one is cut off by the edge. In the centre, the largest emerges from beneath the top edge and arches to the right. On the right of the image you can see a pair of pale plumes; the outermost is blurred, as if moved by the wind. Sparse, thin blades run along the bottom, with the dark background showing through between them. The palette is graphite brown, cream, ivory and sepia, and the overall effect resembles a high-contrast sepia print. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 460 cm wide, and the largest plumes measure about 150 cm in length. The blades fill a lower band about 110 cm high, so low furniture mainly covers the stems while the plumes remain visible.

Which interiors does it suit?

In the living room, the dark background creates a clear contrast with a pale linen sofa, honey-toned wood and woven rattan. This dark wall mural with pampas grass reads best on a wall about 3–5 m wide, viewed from a few metres away: that is when you can see the movement of the whole clump. In the bedroom, the band of thin blades hides behind the headboard of a low bed, while the plumes stay above it; in warm lamplight, the cream plumes glow against the dark background. In an intimate restaurant or café, you can run the image along a long wall behind a banquette whose mohair or cognac-coloured leather upholstery echoes the browns of the background. It suits Japandi, boho and modern classic interiors with dark wood.

How do you choose the size and material?

You are buying one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall, shift the crop so that the largest, arching plume stays in the centre. The main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas and Mura Vinyl Intonaco. Canvas has the texture of natural canvas and is the most versatile, and its weave complements the horizontal brushstrokes in the background. Intonaco has a trowelled plaster texture, which makes the dark background look like a painted wall, especially in side light. As an alternative, choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia with its pronounced coarse sand grain texture; the grain is best appreciated up close, for example by tables placed against the wall. Mura Natur is an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven, whose matt finish softens the contrast between cream and graphite in a calm bedroom.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. At home, you can check how the graphite brown and cream look in daylight and in the evening, and how the texture of the material comes across. On the product page you can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you want a lighter background or a different crop, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, individually quoted. The print is eco-friendly and certified.
