ESTANCIA EVENING - sepia pampas grass wall mural for the living room

Cream plumes of grass bend against a warm, muted background, as if evening were falling over the pampas. The composition fills the wall from the bottom almost to the top edge, so the room gains one calm, botanical surface instead of several pictures. The pale plumes brighten the wall, while the dark blades at the bottom give it weight and warmth.

What does the design show?

The motif is a dense clump of pampas grass. Each cream plume has a darker, sepia streak at its centre, so the outline of the plumes stays clear even from the far side of the room. The warm taupe background has a painterly texture with visible brushstrokes.

The plumes lean mostly to the right. On the left of the image, two large ones reach close to the top edge; in the middle, three smaller ones stand at different heights; and just right of centre, the tallest, slender plume grows straight up to the very top. Another large clump spreads out along the right edge. The lower third is filled with thin blades in dark sepia and olive brown, mixed with pale ones. It is one of the fullest, highest-contrast designs in the collection. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 460 cm wide, the large plumes measure about 100–120 cm, and the band of blades reaches about 85 cm from the floor.

Which interior does it suit?

Its most natural home is the living room. Sepia and olive brown go well with cognac leather, walnut, linen and terracotta, and the pale plumes brighten the wall behind the sofa. Because the plumes reach high, a low sofa or armchair will not cover the most important part of the image.

In the dining room, the design looks good behind a long table and a low sideboard: the centre of the wall stays clear and the whole row of plumes is visible. Choose this sepia wall mural with pampas grass for the bedroom if you like warm, muted colours – behind a low wooden bed with oatmeal bedding, the dark blades at the bottom give the wall an anchor, while the pale plumes higher up give it a calm feel. The design suits boho, japandi and rustic styles, including a country home.

How do I choose the size and material?

Every DECOMURA design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrow wall, move the crop so that the tallest, slender plume just right of centre fits in.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – a natural canvas weave, the most versatile material; it brings out the painterly background without drawing attention away from the outline of the plumes.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a trowelled plaster texture; in side light from a window, it gives the taupe background the depth of a plastered wall.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a distinctive coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin; an alternative for a wall seen from several metres away, for example in a dining room.
• Mura Natur – an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic; its matt surface works with the muted colours of the design, which is useful in a bedroom.

How can I buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we dispatch within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall in daylight and evening light and check how the taupe and sepia look next to your furniture, and what texture the chosen material has. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you would like a lighter background or a different arrangement of plumes, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, priced individually.

You will find more designs with warm plumes on taupe and greige backgrounds in the Pampas Dusk collection, and more ideas for the wall behind the sofa among our living room wall murals. If you are unsure which crop to choose, book a consultation with our studio.
