FACETED LEAP - modern horse wall mural for study and living room

A leap frozen at its highest point: the dark head bends towards the floor, the front legs are tucked in, and the body breaks into sharp, cool planes. On a cream wall this gives a feeling of focus and strength without weight, because the background around the horse stays light and empty.

What can you see in the design?

FACETED LEAP shows a single horse facing left. The graphite head with a lighter stripe along the nose is in the upper left corner, close to the edge; the ears reach almost to the top edge, and the muzzle points down and ends roughly halfway up. The arched neck joins rust to steel blue, and above it floats a windblown grey-blue mane. The raised front legs descend diagonally to the lower left corner. The torso is built of triangles and rhombuses in shades of steel blue, graphite, rust and white, with edges as sharp as a cut gemstone; the hindquarters run off the right edge of the image. The background is cream, with thin lines and pale, grey-green patches at the bottom. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 464 cm wide), the head measures about 115 cm from ears to nostrils, and the muzzle sits about 125 cm above the floor.

How does it differ from the other horses in motion in this collection?

FLINT RUNNER gallops to the right and has a dark, graphite-olive half of the image behind it. PATINA WALKER walks calmly, head lowered, among rectangular, worn patches. NECK AND NECK is two horses side by side. Here there is one horse, the background is the lightest, and the silhouette is built from sharp, geometric planes instead of soft patches.

Which interior does it suit?

In a study the design goes with steel, walnut and wool in a sea colour: a desk with a thin frame stands under the torso, and its top stays clearly below the horse's chest. In a living room with pale travertine, a long, low sofa in grey-blue velvet and a rust-coloured table work well, because both colours are already on the wall. In an office or meeting room, the cool palette and cream background do not compete with the screen or the plans on the table. Place furniture and lamps in the middle and on the right. The left part of the wall should stay free from floor to ceiling: that is where the head, neck and front legs are.

How do you choose the size and material?

You receive a single image printed to the size of your wall, and you set the crop together with the dimensions and material in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall narrower than about 4.6 m (at a height of 260 cm), keep the left side of the image and shorten the right, where the torso runs off the edge anyway.

There are two main materials: Mura Vinyl Canvas with the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile, and the structured Mura Vinyl Intonaco with the texture of trowelled plaster. On canvas the thin lines of the background read like marks left by a tool on a picture, and plaster emphasises the sharp edges of the planes. As alternatives you have Mura Vinyl Sabbia with a pronounced coarse sand grain texture (it is neither smooth nor satin) and Mura Natur – an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

The cream of the background and the steel blue depend on the light in your room, so first order a sample from the product page. The print is about 90 × 50 cm, comes on one or two materials and leaves us within 1–3 working days; you can judge the colours and the texture of the material at your own desk or sofa. You make an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. On your request the studio can also adapt the composition, colours and crop. We usually complete the order in 3–7 working days.
