FAWN QUILLS - pampas grass wall mural for the bedroom

Three clumps of pampas grass rise from the bottom of the wall, leaving plenty of calm, warm background between them. The plumes are light and fluffy, and their darker cores give the drawing a clear rhythm. A wall like this quietens the room and lets the eyes rest, which is why it feels most at home in the bedroom.

What does the design show?

The motif consists of cream pampas grass plumes with sepia cores, arranged in three groups. On the left of the image, four smaller plumes fan out to the sides. In the centre grows the tallest plume: it reaches almost to the top edge and leans slightly to the left, with a second, shorter one standing beside it. On the right of the image you see three plumes, the largest of which reaches close to the top. Between the groups lies a light, warm greige background, slightly darker towards the top. The lower half is filled with sparse, slender blades in dark sepia and off-white, drawn with a fine line, as if with a pen. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 464 cm wide, the tallest plume measures about 90 cm, the smaller plumes on the left about 60–85 cm, and the band of blades reaches about 130 cm above the floor.

Which interiors does it suit?

The most natural place is the bedroom, on the wall behind the headboard: the blades in the lower part disappear behind the bed frame, while the plumes remain fully visible above it. The warm greige pairs well with unbleached linen, light oak and rattan, just as in the coastal bedroom setting. In a study, place the desk to one side so that the centre of the wall stays open and the tallest plume is visible along its full height; walnut and ochre tiles go well with the sepia. In a Japandi-style bathroom, the design looks calm when only a low vanity unit with a basin stands in front of the wall and the plumes float above the countertop. In a north-facing room, the light background warms up cool light, while in a sunny one the sepia cores keep their contrast.

How do I choose the size and material?

FAWN QUILLS is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall, shift the crop so that the tallest plume in the centre does not end up at the edge. Our main recommendation is Mura Vinyl Canvas with a natural canvas weave, the most versatile option – the fine weave brings out the thin line of the blades. The second main material is Mura Vinyl Intonaco with a trowelled plaster texture: on it, the smooth greige areas look like a plastered wall, an effect best appreciated from a distance of a few metres, for example in a study. An alternative is Mura Vinyl Sabbia with a distinctive coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin, on which the plumes take on a rougher feel when viewed up close. Mura Natur is an eco-friendly matt non-woven, odourless and hypoallergenic; the matt surface preserves the calm of the light background in side light from a window, so it is worth considering for the bedroom.

How can I buy with confidence?

Before ordering the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall in the morning and in the evening and check the greige and sepia colours and the texture of the material in your own space. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you prefer a warmer background or a different arrangement of plumes, on request our studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop of the design to your interior. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we organise installation throughout Europe, priced individually.
