FIELD STUDY - painterly pampas grass wall mural for the bathroom

Cream plumes of grass lean to one side, as if a light breeze were passing through the room, while a cool, blue-grey mist spreads out behind them. The wall stops being a flat surface and becomes a view over a field on an overcast morning. As a result, the room feels brighter, calmer and more spacious.

What does the design show?

The design is an impressionist painting of a field of pampas grass, rendered in loose, broad brushstrokes with a visible canvas texture. Cream plumes with honey-beige centres are spread across the entire width and at different heights. The tallest, to the left and right of the centre of the image, reach almost to the top edge, others sway at mid-height, and most of them lean to the right, giving the wall a clear sense of movement. The background is formed by a blue-grey mist with vertical streaks in the upper part, lightened by a creamy glow to the left of centre. The lower half is filled with a dense, blurred mass of grass blades in cream, sandy beige and grey, broken here and there by light ochre. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 460 cm wide, a single plume measures about 50–70 cm, and the band of grass blades at the bottom takes up about 130 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

This painterly pampas grass wall mural feels most at home in a bathroom finished in pale stone, travertine or microcement: the cream and beige tones of the painting blend with warm wall cladding, while the blue-grey mist complements chrome and white ceramics. The wall behind the bath, seen from a distance of 2–3 metres, then looks like a window onto a field. A second option is a library or study with light wood shelving and a sand-coloured leather armchair – the calm design does not compete with the spines of the books. A third is a hallway: an entrance wall 3–4 metres wide holds several plumes leaning to the right, and a low wooden bench emphasises their scale. The design suits Japandi and Scandinavian styles, as well as minimalism with natural materials. It is seen at its best in diffused light, by a window with a linen curtain or under warm wall lights.

How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You can set the width, height, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall, shift the crop so that at least one of the tallest plumes stays in the frame – this keeps the vertical rhythm of the grasses. The main choice is Mura Vinyl Canvas: its natural canvas texture brings out the painterly character of the image and the loose brushstrokes. Mura Vinyl Intonaco has a trowelled plaster texture which, in side light, adds depth to the mist in the background, as if the paint had been applied straight onto the wall. As alternatives, consider Mura Vinyl Sabbia – its distinctive coarse sand grain texture combines well with stone and raw plaster – and Mura Natur, a matt, odourless and hypoallergenic eco non-woven, on which the pastel creams look at their calmest.

How can I buy with confidence?

Before you decide, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we dispatch within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall in your own light and compare the creams, beiges and blue-grey shade with your tiles, wood or plaster, checking the texture of the material at the same time. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself, right on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you wish, our studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior, for example by warming up the mist in the background. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.
