GEORGETTE - mint wall mural with white ginkgo for a hallway

Jade mint and white, translucent leaves make the wall as fresh as a garden in the morning, and yet legible from afar. Two large motifs on either side and darker threads in the background give it a movement that leads the visitor deeper into the room. It is an image for a hallway, entrance hall, restaurant or reception – places that make the first impression.

What can you see in the design?

The ground is jade-mint, with delicate vertical streaks. From the middle to the right, in the upper part of the image, darker, sea-green threads thicken, giving the ground depth. On the left of the image, at mid-height, unfolds a cluster of wavy, translucent ginkgo leaves in creamy white, with peach stalks and veins. In the right half, at the top, a large white leaf opens out on a long, curved stalk, which descends in an S-shaped line to the bottom edge. By the right edge and low in the middle stand further pale, semi-transparent leaves, and the upper left corner remains calm, free ground.

On a wall 260 cm high the whole image is about 4.6 m wide. The cluster on the left of the image is then about 205 cm wide and extends from roughly one quarter to three quarters of the height, and the large white leaf at the top right is about 160 cm wide, roughly the width of a two-seat sofa.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a hallway or entrance hall with pale travertine and a low, arched bench, both large motifs stay whole above the furniture, and the peach stalks at the bottom blend with the warm stone. In a restaurant with dark green terrazzo, white tablecloths and mint velvet chairs the design fills the long wall of the room and repeats the colours of the tables. In the reception of an office or studio with a concrete floor, pale oak and marble, the mint ground warms the raw materials, and the white leaves can be seen from the entrance. It suits modernism, the style of 1960s Italian villas and calm café interiors.

How do you choose the size and material?

We prepare GEORGETTE as one image printed to the size of your wall, and you choose the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. In a narrow hallway, on a wall about 2 m wide and 260 cm high, almost the whole cluster from the left of the image or the large leaf from the right will fit, so choose one of them as the main motif. On a long restaurant wall you will see both.

The main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas, with the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile, which blends with the vertical streaks of the ground, and Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with the texture of trowelled plaster, structured, with which the white leaves in light from a window gain plasticity. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin, good for the long wall of a dining room viewed from a few metres away, and Mura Natur – an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic, which keeps the softness of the mint and the creamy white.

You can order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, shipped in 1–3 working days. In a hall without a window, look at it under artificial light, because that determines how cool the mint will seem to you. You create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days, also for a restaurant dining room. On request the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop, for example by moving the large white leaf above the entrance.
