GREEN LAGOON PARADE - a painterly wallpaper featuring forest animals

A dense, painterly scene: dozens of animals gathered around a forest pond, depicted with broad, bold strokes in a style reminiscent of oil painting. The palette is based on lush emerald greens, warm russets, and creams, accented with touches of pink, turquoise, and orange. The pattern is designed for a single wall in a child's room and crafted to be admired up close for an extended time.

What exactly can be seen in this pattern

The focal point of the composition is a large, smiling crocodile lying across the frame — its back forms a natural shelf for smaller figures: a ginger kitten, a deer in the background, a squirrel, a badger, and a mouse. Around them, you can recognize a rabbit, a hedgehog, a toad, a turtle, frogs, a parrot, a giraffe, and an elephant emerging from the right side. The lower edge features a surface of water with lily pads and lotus flowers, in which more animals are submerged. The background is filled with hanging vines, ferns, fly agarics, and small wildflowers, while the top of the frame is illuminated by warm, diffused light filtering through the tree canopies. This is a narrative illustration, closer to a spread from a picture book than to a repeatable wallpaper pattern.

What is the scale and cropping like

The composition is distinctly horizontal and does not have a repeatable report — it is one continuous scene, so the frame is tailored to a specific wall. The main characters, the crocodile and the elephant, are large and easily visible from the other end of the room; the rest are details scaled to a child's eye level. It works best on a full, long wall, such as the one behind a bed or above a play corner. For a narrow section of wall, it's worth cropping so that the crocodile and the pond remain in view, as they organize the whole. Furniture placed in front of the pattern should be low and uniform in color — the illustration itself is very rich and does not require additional colorful accents.

What interior does it suit

The pattern is perfect for a preschool or early school-aged child's room, in a playroom, kindergarten, or reading nook. It is gender-neutral: suitable as wallpaper for both boys and girls. The remaining walls should be left in warm whites, light beiges, or muted greens drawn from the background of the illustration. If you are looking for a calmer, more subdued alternative with the same forest theme, browse patterns with animals in other palettes or softer watercolor illustrations.

Which material to choose

For such a saturated, painterly graphic, we recommend Mura Vinyl Pennello — the matte finish with a brushstroke texture emphasizes visible paint marks and thick impastos. If you prefer a smoother surface that is easier to wipe in areas prone to children's touch, an alternative is Mura Vinyl Canvas with a subtle canvas weave. Before ordering the entire wall, it is advisable to request a sample to assess the saturation of green in the light of your own room.
