LACEWORK - ginkgo wall mural with white twigs for a dining room

Thin white twigs interweave with leaves into a light, openwork lattice, above which a band of cool sage remains. A dining room gains a wall that gives the eye something to look at during a longer meal, and yet the whole remains muted: cream, beige and a grey-green sky.

What can you see in the design?

The upper quarter of the image is taken by a smooth background in a grey-green, sage shade. Beneath it, across the whole width, runs a dense band of cream, beige and white ginkgo leaves shown as flat silhouettes, without any veins drawn. The leaves grow from thin, branching white twigs, which in the middle part form a lace-like network. On the right side of the image single leaves reach highest, close to the top edge.

Towards the bottom the leaves pass into a misty, cream band, and right by the bottom edge into a darker, ochre-brown, flaking texture resembling old plaster; that is an effect of the print, and the wall stays flat. At a height of 260 cm the leaves are about 15–30 cm wide, the sage background at the top about 65 cm, and the ochre band at the bottom about 35 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

Dining room. Sage, cream and ochre go with honey-coloured cherry or maple wood, a linen runner and chairs with woven seats, as in the dining room setting in the Shaker style. The chair backs by the wall will cover only the dark band at the bottom, and the lace of twigs will remain above the table.

Hall. In a long hallway the design with twigs reads as one composition from corner to corner. A marble chequerboard, an elm bench and grey wool emphasise its cool top and warm bottom.

Office and study. With a walnut desk and travertine, the calm rhythm of the twigs gives a backdrop for work and conversation, without strong colour behind your back.

How do you choose the size and material?

LACEWORK is one image printed to the size of your wall. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you enter the dimensions, choose the material and set the crop. At a height of 260 cm the design is about 4.6 m wide; the band of twigs runs across the whole width, so even a narrow crop will keep the network of leaves, and a crop from the right side of the image will keep the highest-reaching leaves.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile; the thin white twigs stay sharp and legible on it.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – structured, with the texture of trowelled plaster, which strengthens the impression of old plaster in the ochre band by the floor.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative: a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin; in raking light it brings the flat silhouettes of the leaves to life.
• Mura Natur – an alternative: a matt, odourless and hypoallergenic eco-friendly non-woven; the matt finish emphasises the cool sage of the sky.

How can you buy with confidence?

On the product page you order a sample – a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we ship in 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall behind the table and compare the sage and ochre with the colour of the chairs and the floor; at the same time you will see what the texture of the material is like. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and if you prefer, we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. On request the studio can also adjust the composition, colours and crop of the design to the interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, we ship free of charge within Poland and Europe, and on request we arrange installation across Europe after an individual quote.

You will find other designs with ginkgo leaves in creams and whites in the Ginkgo Mist collection, and landscapes and botanical motifs in the Nature collection. If you do not know how to set the crop above the table, book a consultation with the DECOMURA studio.
