LICHEN PLUME - line art wall mural with ginkgo leaves for a study

Olive khaki, bottle green and pale, drawn leaves make a wall of a calm, deep tone that does not distract while you work. On one side a tangled streak of threads flows like windblown smoke, on the other stand distinct, graphic fans. Such an image organises a study or entrance hall: it gives it one strong point and plenty of quiet background.

What can you see in the design?

The ground is olive khaki with a delicate canvas texture in the print, and in the upper left it darkens into a greenish mist. From the left edge across the left half of the image flows a tangled streak of thin threads in dark sea green and white, like a windblown silk ribbon. In the middle and slightly to the right rises a cluster of large, translucent ginkgo leaves drawn in white and mint lines; their stalks run down to the bottom edge. By the top edge, in the left part, and in the top right corner stand leaves in dark, bottle green. Lower down, on the right of the image, spreads one large leaf drawn only with a dark line, through which the bare ground shows.

On a wall 260 cm high the pale cluster takes up almost the whole height of the wall, and its largest leaf is about 185 cm wide. The dark leaf in the lower right part is about 145 cm wide, and the streak of threads on the left of the image extends for about 1.5 m.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a study or home office a low desk in stained ash, green leather and walnut pick up the olive ground, and the pale cluster of leaves above the desktop gives your eyes a rest from the screen. The wall behind the desk then needs no shelves or pictures. In an entrance hall with chequerboard marble and a long velvet bench in bottle green you see the design from a few steps away, so the streak of threads and the dark leaves look like a large graphic. In a bedroom with pale birch and linen bedding in olive and cream, the muted khaki quietens the room in the evening. Mid-century modernism of the 1950s and 1960s, Art Deco and Scandinavian minimalism suit it.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print LICHEN PLUME as one large image to the size of your wall; at a height of 260 cm the full crop is about 4.6 m wide. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you enter the width and height, and then move the crop. On the wall behind a desk about 2.5 m wide, a little over half of the image will fit: decide whether it should be the pale cluster with the dark leaf on the right of the image, or the cluster together with the streak of threads on the left.

The basic choice is Mura Vinyl Canvas, with the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile, whose weave reinforces the canvas look of the ground, or the structured Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with the texture of trowelled plaster – it gives the olive khaki the character of a wall in an old townhouse. As an alternative choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin, if the wall is long and viewed from afar, for example in an entrance hall, or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic, on which the dark greens in a bedroom stay deep and matt.

How can you buy with confidence?

Dark greens and khaki are best judged in person, so order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, sent in 1–3 working days. Look at it at your desk, in lamplight, and compare it with the colour of your wood and leather. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page; we will make a studio visualisation on request in 1–2 working days. If the cluster is to stand exactly above the monitor, or the ground is to be lighter, the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop on request. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe costs nothing, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, with an individual quote.

We have gathered all the designs with ginkgo leaves drawn in line on green grounds in the Sage Silk collection. You will find other plant images for the wall among the nature wall murals.
