LINEN WHALE - beige whale wall mural with clouds for a bedroom

The background is the colour of natural linen, and everything that happens on it is only a tone lighter or cooler: cream clouds, a grey-blue whale, blue-green waves. The wall gets no strong contrast, only a soft, powdery picture for rooms where it should be quiet.

What does the design show?

LINEN WHALE swims to the right at about half the height of the wall, nearer its left edge. Its head, with a cream, striped throat, is on the right, its tail points towards the left edge, and gold spirals cover the grey-blue back. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 460 cm wide), the whale measures about 2.9 m. The head reaches about 170 cm, the tail about 190 cm, and the tips of the fins fall about 80 cm above the floor; on the right, about 1.2 m of wall is left with only clouds and waves. Large cream clouds lie behind it and at the sides, several with gold, curling outlines. A fabric weave can be seen in the background. The bottom is taken up by blue-green waves with a row of white, spiral crests: most reach about 45–50 cm, and the highest, on the right, about 60 cm above the floor. Gold here is a printed colour.

How is it different from similar designs?

In the family of four whales in cream clouds, this one is the smallest and swims lowest, and its colours are the most muted. CLOUD VOYAGER and ABOVE THE TIDE swim to the left and have a navy sea; here the waves are blue-green. PEARL DRIFTER also swims to the right, but it is larger, has a dark tail and a background turning into pale blue, and its waves are divided in the middle by a light gap. If you are looking for a beige whale wall mural with the lowest contrast, choose this one.

Which interior does it suit?

In a bedroom, what works is what is missing here: dark patches and sharp borders. The linen background goes with linen bedding, an upholstered headboard and an oak parquet floor. Just pay attention to the height of the headboard, because the fins end about 80 cm above the floor: a taller one will cover their tips if the bed stands under the whale. In a small child’s room, the figure itself matters. The whale has a clear eye and a gentle drawing, swims lower than in the other three designs, and the waves with white swirls fall just above the floor, where the child plays. The third place is a hallway: above a low bench the whale remains visible in full, and the blue-grey stone floor, as in our room setting, repeats the colour of the waves.

How do you choose the size and material?

It is a single image printed to the size of your wall. You set the dimensions, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. The whale takes up the left and middle of the full crop, so at a height of 260 cm, a wall about 3.5 m wide will hold all of it.

The linen weave visible in the background is part of the image, and what the wall feels like to the touch is decided by the material. The main ones are Mura Vinyl Canvas, with the weave of natural canvas, the most versatile, and the structured Mura Vinyl Intonaco, with a trowelled plaster texture, on which the clouds look as if painted on the wall. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia – neither smooth nor satin, with a pronounced coarse sand grain – and Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How can you buy with confidence?

Shades of linen and cream look slightly different on every screen, so look at a sample first. You order it from the product page: it is a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials, shipped in 1–3 working days. Hold it against the bedding, curtains and floor, and you will see the colours and the texture of the material in your own light. Also on the product page you can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself; we prepare a studio visualisation on request in 1–2 working days. If the fins fall behind the headboard, ask for a change: on request the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days. We ship free in Poland and Europe, and to other countries at the rate shown in the basket; installation anywhere in Europe we arrange on request, with an individual quote.

You will find the whole family of whales, including the turquoise and navy designs and those in the style of a Japanese woodblock print, in the Sky Whales collection. We have gathered other calm designs for above the bed in the wallpapers and wall murals for bedrooms category.
