MALACHITE WISP - ginkgo wall mural with emerald streaks

Cream ginkgo leaves float above a calm, olive ground, and through the middle of the wall flows a streak of dark green like smoke. The design brings movement into the room without noise: the pale, smooth edges calm the composition, and the emerald accent in the centre leads the eye to where you will put a desk, bed or table.

What can you see in the design?

The ground is olive khaki with a fine linen weave – this is the look of the print, not a relief on the wall. Six ginkgo leaves are laid out on it, built from hundreds of thin cream lines. On the left of the image, in the upper part, a large leaf on a long, curved stalk opens out, and the stalk runs down towards the lower left corner, while in the corner itself two more leaves overlap. In the middle stands a translucent leaf rolled like a funnel, to the right of centre the largest fan spreads out, and the top right corner is taken up by a leaf cut off by the top edge.

From the top to the bottom edge, through the middle, flow semi-transparent streaks of white haze and dark emerald bands, which at half height turn to the right. On a wall 260 cm high the whole image is about 4.7 m wide, the largest leaf about 120 cm high, and the green bands run from floor to ceiling.

Which interiors does it suit?

Study. Olive and dark green go with walnut, cognac leather and brass, just as in the Art Deco study setting with a green lacquered desk. Place the desk beneath the middle of the wall: the streaks will be above the desktop, and the calm edges will remain at the sides.

Bedroom. Cream leaves on a subdued khaki create a soft backdrop for a low bed with an olive linen headboard and ivory bedding. In the evening the warm light of small bedside lamps warms the olive ground.

Restaurant and café. On a wide wall behind the tables the emerald bands lead the eye from the floor upwards, and the cream leaves are larger than the chairs, so the motif stays readable even from the far end of the room.

How do you choose the size and material?

MALACHITE WISP is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a wall narrower than about 4.7 m, move the crop so that the emerald bands stay close to the middle – they are what organises the whole composition.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile; it plays with the linen weave of the ground in a study and a bedroom.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – the structured texture of trowelled plaster; in the streaks of haze it recalls a wall with distressed paint, especially in side light.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin; it works best in a restaurant dining room viewed from a few metres away.
• Mura Natur – an alternative: eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven; the matt finish keeps the delicacy of the thinnest cream lines.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you decide on a whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we ship in 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall, compare the khaki of the ground with the colour of your floor and furniture, and look at the texture of the material in daylight. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. On request the studio will also adjust the composition, colours and crop to the interior, for example by moving the green streaks closer to the window. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, with an individual quote.

You will find more line-drawn ginkgo leaves on sage and olive grounds in the Sage Silk collection. We have gathered calm designs for above a bed among the bedroom wall murals, and a consultation with our studio will help you choose the crop.
