MILK GLASS - delicate ginkgo wall mural for a bathroom and spa

White leaves barely stand out from the ivory background, as if you were seeing them through milk glass. The wall stays pale and soft, without any strong accent, so the room feels quiet and orderly – just as it should be where you rest.

What can you see in the design?

Seven soft, white ginkgo leaves float in a wide, horizontal band across the middle of the design. On the left side of the image two leaves stand high next to each other, and a third lower down. The largest is in the middle; on the right two more float at the top, and one lower down, to the right of centre. Thin, cream stalks curve downwards and converge below the middle.

The background is ivory in colour with pale grey worn patches and a few warm, beige-ochre blotches by the right edge. The contrast is very gentle: the edges of the leaves dissolve into the background, and the bands at the top and bottom stay almost empty. On a wall 260 cm high the leaves are about 70–100 cm wide, and the calm band under the ceiling about 30 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

Bathroom. Behind a freestanding bath in pale stone, the blurred leaves create a spa-like backdrop. Ivory goes with marble, teak and linen towels, and the lack of sharp contours means the wall does not tire the eyes.

Bedroom. With a low bed without a tall headboard, the leaves stay whole above the bedding. The design suits pale terrazzo, walnut and ivory linen bedding.

Hotel and spa. In a spa suite or relaxation area the gentle contrast imposes no style and goes well with wood, clay plaster and paper lampshades. It looks best in soft, diffused light.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print MILK GLASS as one large image to the size of your wall, and you choose its size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. The leaves gather in the middle band, and a calm background remains at the top and bottom, so when trimming the crop it is easiest to give up precisely those bands. At a height of 260 cm the whole design is about 4.6 m wide.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile material; the fine weave adds expression to the gentle image without changing its white.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – the structured texture of trowelled plaster; together with the worn patches of the background it resembles a lime plaster wall, which suits a bathroom in the style of an old villa.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative: a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin; with such a gentle contrast the grain becomes a visible element of the wall, especially up close.
• Mura Natur – an alternative: an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven; the matt finish preserves the milky softness of the leaf edges, which you will appreciate in a bedroom.

How can you buy with confidence?

With such a delicate contrast the light makes the difference, so first order a sample from the product page: we will ship a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials in 1–3 working days. Check on it how the ivory looks next to your taps, stone and fabrics, and how the texture of the material changes the white. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. If you want the leaves to be more distinct, the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop of the design to the interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation across Europe, with an individual quote.

You will find the other designs with pale ginkgo leaves in the Ginkgo Mist collection, and other blurred, painterly motifs in the Watercolours collection.
