MOCHA LACE - wall mural with white ginkgo leaves for a living room

White, lacy ginkgo leaves rise from dark, worn plaster in the colour of mocha and unfold against a pearly grey. The warm bottom and the cool, pale top give the wall depth, so the living room seems taller, and an interior in beiges and wood gets a delicate, graphic accent.

What can you see in the design?

A dozen or so leaves drawn with fine white vein lines stand on long, slender stalks that rise from the lower third of the image. You will find the largest fans by the left edge, to the left of centre and in the right part of the image, where one leaf reaches highest. Behind them, in the background, loom blurred, translucent leaves in powder pink, which give the composition a background layer.

The background shifts from an almost white, pearly grey at the top to a lavender-grey middle. The bottom is taken up by peeling plaster in shades of mocha, taupe and lilac, with deep scuffs through which lighter layers show. On a wall 260 cm high, the highest leaf ends about 50 cm below the ceiling, the largest fans are about 95 cm wide, and the band of plaster takes up roughly the lowest 70 cm. Above the leaves remains a band of empty, pearly background.

Which interiors does it suit?

Living room. The taupe and mocha of the lower band go with travertine, oat-coloured bouclé and walnut, and the white leaves sit above the back of the sofa. In the room setting it is a 1970s house in Palm Springs with a low, rounded sofa; in the gallery photo of the wall, the same design stands behind a pale wooden sofa with linen cushions.

Kitchen with dining area. In a stone house in Provence, the warm mocha works with lime plaster, an oak table and the linen of the chairs. Make the cabinet-free wall the one you face from the table, and place the kitchen units opposite, so the leaves stay uncovered.

Study. The lavender grey quietens a room for work, and the dark plaster at the bottom provides a backdrop for a walnut desk and the cognac leather of an armchair. It suits a townhouse flat with a high ceiling and herringbone parquet.

How do you choose the size and material?

The whole design is one image, which we print to the size of your wall. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page, you choose the size, material and crop. At a height of 260 cm the full design is about 4.6 m wide; if the wall is narrower, decide in the crop whether to keep the highest leaf on the right side of the image or the group by the left edge.
