NECTAR SPRIG - minimalist ginkgo wall mural for a bedroom

Four peach leaves on an almost white background, with plenty of space around them – this image works like a single sprig placed in a vase. The wall gains a warm, distinct accent, and the room keeps the brightness and lightness you look for in a bedroom or dressing room.

What can you see in the design?

The leaves in pale peach and cream grow from thin, grey-brown stalks and form a loose sprig in the middle of the image, slightly shifted to the right. The two largest leaves are in the upper half, the third lower down on the right side of the image, and the smallest by the lower left edge of the sprig, close to the bottom edge. On each leaf the peach fades into cream, and thin, finely drawn veins fan out from the base.

The background is almost white, with pale grey vertical brushstrokes and a few thin streaks by the right edge; pale grey patches show through behind the sprig. The left quarter of the image stays empty and light. On a wall 260 cm high the whole image is about 450 cm wide, the sprig is about 245 cm wide and about 210 cm high, and the two largest leaves are each about 100–110 cm wide.

Which interiors does it suit?

In a bedroom the sprig goes above a low bed: the two largest leaves float high above the pillows, and the empty left part of the wall leaves room for a bedside table with a lamp. With a tall headboard the smallest leaf by the bottom edge will hide behind the furniture – in that case it is worth asking the studio to move the sprig higher. In a study a desk placed on the left, in front of the empty background, will not cover any leaf, and the pale wall does not draw attention away from work. In a dressing room the peach leaves go with cream and caramel clothes, a velvet pouffe and pale oak. The design suits Japandi, Scandinavian and minimalist styles, and off-white looks good on the neighbouring walls.

How do you choose the size and material?

NECTAR SPRIG is one large image printed to the size of your wall. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you enter the width and height, and then move the crop. On a wall about 2.7 m wide and 260 cm high the whole sprig fits with a narrow margin of background; on a wider wall you gain more empty, pale space on the left side of the image.

The main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile, which on such a pale background becomes a visible part of the image – and Mura Vinyl Intonaco, a structured material with the texture of trowelled plaster, on which the white background looks like a painted wall. As an alternative consider Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain, neither smooth nor satin – on a minimalist sprig the grain will be clearly visible up close – or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven that preserves the delicacy of the pale peach.
