PAMPAS PAUSE - boho wall mural with pampas grass for the bathroom

Three clumps of pampas grass, set apart by wide gaps of background, bring a calm rhythm and plenty of breathing space to the wall. The warm taupe quietens the room, while the pale plumes light it up from within. A bathroom, living room or hallway gains a soft, botanical backdrop without the heaviness of a dense composition.

What does the design show?

This boho pampas grass wall mural is divided into three loose clumps of pampas grass, with distinct bands of empty background left between them. On the left of the image, a pair of tall plumes reaches almost to the top edge. In the centre stands a smaller plume, with a taller one beside it leaning to the right. On the right of the image grows another pair. The cream plumes with a sandy tint rise on long, bare stems, and in the lower part of the image sparse, long ecru blades cross one another. The background is a warm taupe, close to a mushroom shade, with vertical brushstrokes that give the wall a painterly texture. On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 462 cm wide, the tallest plumes are about 100 cm long, and each clump takes up about 140–160 cm of width. From a few metres away you will see three clear plant silhouettes; up close, the individual fine hairs of the plumes.

Which interiors does it suit?

In the bathroom, the plumes harmonise with travertine, sandstone and ivory ceramics. The empty gaps between the clumps look good behind a freestanding bath, as its low form does not hide the plumes. In a boho or japandi living room, choose a wall about 4–5 metres wide, behind a low linen or cotton sofa, with a jute rug and light wood furniture – that way the full rhythm of the three clumps is visible. In the hallway, you see the wall from a metre or two away, so up close you will appreciate the fine detail of the grass blades, while a slim console table will only cover the lower band of grasses. The dining room visualisation also shows that dusty pink chairs and dark wood go well with the taupe background.

How do you choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page; on a narrower wall you can keep, for example, two clumps with a gap of background in the frame. We recommend two materials as the main choice. Mura Vinyl Canvas has the texture of natural canvas and is the most versatile – the canvas weave blends gently with the vertical brushstrokes of the background. Mura Vinyl Intonaco is a structured trowelled plaster texture that makes the taupe background resemble a painted wall; it looks lovely next to stone in a bathroom. An alternative is Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a pronounced coarse sand grain texture; this material is neither smooth nor satin – the grain is best seen from a few metres away, on a wide living room wall. How can you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall in your bathroom or living room and check how the taupe and the cream plumes look in your light, and what texture the material has. On the product page you can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. If you would like to spread the clumps further apart or change the background shade, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior.
