PAPER PRISM - geometric turquoise and gold wall mural for living rooms

Here the wall looks like unfolded origami or the facets of a cut crystal seen up close: sharp edges and clean fields, each of which seems to lie at a different angle. The turquoise cools, the cream warms, and the narrow accents in the colour of gold bind the two tones together. The room gets movement, but not mess.

What can you see in the design?

PAPER PRISM is a geometric composition of polygonal planes in turquoise and warm cream. Their edges run radially towards a single point near the middle of the wall. Through this centre, from top to bottom, passes a zigzag line of three narrow triangles in the colour of gold, with an uneven, wrinkled surface. A fourth, horizontal wedge reaches the right edge of the image slightly above half height, and a small gold triangle lies low on the left.

The largest cream area takes up the lower left part of the image. The darkest turquoise, shading into sea green, is at the top on the right and by the right edge, and the lightest, watery one in the top left corner. On the planes you can see long, smooth marks like those of a spatula; they are part of the image, and the tactile texture comes only from the material.

What sets it apart from two related designs in the collection is the sharpness of the cut. In CUBIST RIVIERA the planes are soft and rubbed through, and in HARBOUR COLLAGE the bottom of the image calms down into a grey-green expanse; here the whole wall is cut evenly, and the gold is only thin wedges.

What kind of interior does it suit?

In a living room with a light sofa and furniture in warm wood, the cream of the design blends with the upholstery, and the turquoise remains the only strong colour in the room. Choose low furniture so that the middle of the wall, where the edges converge, stays uncovered.

In a kitchen with a dining nook, give the design the wall by the table, not the strip between the cabinets: the composition needs a distance of about two or three metres for the edges to come together into a whole. Cream fronts, a light stone worktop and brass accessories will repeat the cream and the gold, and the warm light of a lamp over the table will soften the coolness of the turquoise.

In a workroom, an office or a café, this light-toned turquoise geometric wall mural brings order to a long wall behind a shared table: from close up you see individual fields wider than a chair, from a distance the whole layout of converging lines.

How do you choose the size and material?

You get one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. For a wall 260 cm high and a full crop the composition is about 462 cm wide, the cream field on the left is about 130 cm, and the gold wedge by the right edge about 90 cm long. On a narrower wall, shift the crop so that the point where the edges converge stays visible.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – the texture of natural canvas, the most versatile material: on large, smooth fields of cream the weave is visible up close, and the design comes closer to a picture on a stretcher frame.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – the structured texture of trowelled plaster, on which the sharp edges look as if incised into the wall; the choice for a large wall viewed from several metres.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – an alternative with a distinct coarse sand grain texture. It is neither smooth nor satin, so it softens the sharp cuts.
• Mura Natur – an alternative made of eco-friendly non-woven: matt, odourless and hypoallergenic. On it the design comes closest to folded paper.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you decide on the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. On it you will check at home whether the turquoise looks too cool against your floor, and whether the cream sits well with the white of your ceiling. You can make an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page; on request our team will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days.

You can also ask for an adaptation: the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop, for example when the meeting point of the edges falls behind a wardrobe. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, and the print is eco-friendly and certified. Shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and to other countries it is charged at the rate in the basket. If you need installation, we arrange it throughout Europe and price it individually.

You will see the other designs in this palette in the Turquoise and Gold collection, and other geometric and painterly compositions among the Abstraction wall murals.
