PATINA WALKER - abstract horse wall mural for office and hall

The horse walks slowly, head lowered, and half disappears into the wall: its silhouette and the background are built from the same worn patches. From a distance you see an abstraction in cream, ochre and grey-blue; up close you find the animal. The interior gains calm instead of speed.

What can you see in the design?

PATINA WALKER is a horse facing left that takes up almost the whole width of the image. The head is on the left, in the upper half, close to the edge: the dark ears are high, the cream front of the head runs down, and the graphite muzzle ends a little below half the height. The neck and withers are graphite grey, the torso is pale, creamy white, with two rusty patches: on the shoulder and near the rump. The legs and rump melt into the background. The background is made of rectangular patches that look layered and scraped back: cream and ochre on the left of the image, grey-blue and graphite on the right and at the bottom. The surface resembles a patinated wall that has been rubbed back many times. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 464 cm wide), the head measures about 120 cm from ears to nostrils, and the muzzle sits about 115 cm above the floor.

How do you tell it apart from the other abstract horses?

It is the only one of them that walks rather than runs. FACETED LEAP leaps on a cream, empty background, FLINT RUNNER gallops to the right, and NECK AND NECK shows two horses in a leap. Here the movement is slow, the head low, and the background has as much weight as the animal.

Which interior does it suit?

In the reception or waiting area of an office the design works like a large abstraction that does not distract: a sofa in grey-blue wool and a table of patinated brass echo the colours of the right side of the image. In a study with a steel desk and an armchair in ochre leather, the ochre of the background returns in the furniture. In an entrance hall with a stone floor, a low oak bench under the chest and front legs of the horse is enough. Place furniture and a lamp in the middle and on the right, and leave the left quarter of the wall empty: the lowered head comes down low there, so even a taller armchair or a plant in a pot would cover it.

How do you choose the size and material?

This abstract horse wall mural is made as a single image printed to the size of your wall. You choose the crop, dimensions and material in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. In a narrow hall, where the wall is, for example, about 3 m wide, the crop will take in about two thirds of the image: set it from the left so that the head, neck and shoulder fit.

The main materials are Mura Vinyl Intonaco, structured, with the texture of trowelled plaster, and Mura Vinyl Canvas, the most versatile, with the texture of natural canvas. Plaster strengthens the impression of an old, rubbed wall, which is the essence of this design; canvas gives a calmer, more even surface. You can also choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia with a pronounced coarse sand grain texture, which is neither smooth nor satin, or Mura Natur, an eco-friendly non-woven: matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How do you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, look at a sample. It is a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials; you order it from the product page, and we send it within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall and judge the colours and the texture of the material next to your floor. An AI visualisation on a photo of your own room is available on the product page and you make it yourself, while we prepare a studio visualisation on request within 1–2 working days. On request the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop, for example to the layout of the doors in the hall. Completion usually takes 3–7 working days. Shipping is free in Poland and Europe, and beyond it the rate shown in the basket applies. We arrange installation across Europe on request and quote it individually.
