PEARL DRIFTER - pastel whale wall mural among clouds and waves

Beige, cream and light blue fill almost the whole wall. A whale with a large, pale belly swims across its upper and middle part, and navy appears only low down, in the waves at the sides. The middle of the wall by the floor stays light, so a sofa or a play corner will cover mainly the cream haze.

What does the design show?

PEARL DRIFTER swims to the right. It has a grey-blue back with gold spirals, a large cream, striped belly and a dark tail raised at the left edge. On a wall 260 cm high and with the full crop (about 460 cm wide) it measures about 3.2 m; the head falls about 2 m above the floor, and the pale fins drop to about 70 cm. Cream clouds outlined with white and gold arcs float around. The background combines powdery beige with light blue, most distinct on the right, in front of the whale’s head. Navy waves with white, curling crests rise in the lower corners: the left reaches about 75 cm, the right, taller, about 85 cm above the floor, and in the middle, over a width of about 1 m, the bottom of the image stays light. The image looks as if painted with a soft brush. Gold in it is a printed colour.

How is it different from similar designs?

Of the four whales in cream clouds, only here does the background itself pass from beige to light blue. LINEN WHALE also swims to the right, but it is smaller, in the colours of linen, and the blue-green waves form a continuous band in it. CLOUD VOYAGER and ABOVE THE TIDE swim to the left, and the sea takes up the full width of the wall in them. You will also recognise this pastel whale wall mural by its dark tail and the white outlines of the clouds.

Which interior does it suit?

In a playroom, scale and lightness count. The whale is large, has a gentle outline, and its fins drop low, so it is close to the child. Low furniture placed in the middle, such as a play kitchen, a basket and cushions, fits beneath it and does not cover the highest waves in the corners. In a living room the same qualities work differently. A sofa placed in the middle will cover mainly the cream haze, and the two tallest crests will remain at its sides. The powdery beige and the white and gold arcs of the clouds go with ivory fabrics, travertine and bleached oak. The design does not look childish, because the whale is drawn seriously, without fairy-tale simplifications. In a hallway a fragment is enough: the tail above a narrow console and the left wave beside it.

How do you choose the size and material?

The whole design is a single image printed to the size of your wall. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you set the size, material and crop. At a height of 260 cm the whale needs a width of about 3.2 m; on a narrower wall decide whether the head with the large wave or the dark tail matters more.

Among the materials, two are the main ones. Mura Vinyl Canvas has the weave of natural canvas and is the most versatile: the soft transitions from beige to blue look like a painting on it. Mura Vinyl Intonaco, structured, with a trowelled plaster texture, brings the design closer to a wall painting. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, which is neither smooth nor satin, because it has a pronounced coarse sand grain, and Mura Natur – an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How can you buy with confidence?

Pastels are easy to misjudge on a screen, so order a sample from the product page – a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials, shipped in 1–3 working days – and check on it the colours and the texture of the material next to your own floor and furniture. You create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. If you ask, the studio will also adapt the composition, colours and crop. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days. Shipping in Poland and Europe is free; for other countries the rate shown in the basket applies. On request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.
