PLASTER AND SILK - wall mural with white pampas on a taupe background

A few white pampas plumes lean across a warm taupe background, leaving plenty of open space above them. A light, bright rhythm runs through the middle band of the wall, while its upper part stays quiet, like smooth plaster. This taupe wall mural with white pampas brings calm to the room and does not compete with the furniture.

What does the design show?

The pampas grass plumes form a horizontal frieze across the middle of the wall. On the left of the image stands a dense group of three plumes, and left of centre the tallest plume of the whole image rises on a slender stem. In the centre there is a smaller plume set lower down, right of centre another one sways on an arched stem, and at the right edge a dense cluster of tall plumes gathers. Compact clumps of thin beige leaves grow at the bottom.

The plumes are white with a creamy tint, and their fine fibres are clearly defined – the drawing is more graphic than painterly. The background has a warm taupe colour and a delicate plaster texture, while the leaves at the bottom shade into sandy beige. On a wall 260 cm high, the plume of the tallest stem alone is about 75 cm long, the clumps of leaves reach about 90 cm from the floor, and about 110 cm of calm background remains above the central plume.

Which interior does it suit?

In a living room, place a low sofa in front of the wall: the backrest will cover at most the clumps of leaves, and the plumes will remain fully visible above it. The design suits Japandi and Scandinavian styles, as well as linen, light oak, rattan and wicker, because it echoes their beiges and creams.

In a kitchen or breakfast nook, a sideboard or bench up to about 75 cm high is all you need – it will cover only part of the leaves and leave the plumes in view. There, the warm background softens the cool, diffused light from a north-facing window.

In a restaurant, a single image several metres wide brings order to a dining room with stone, linen and reed: from a few tables away the frieze of plumes reads as a light band, while up close you can see the fine fibres. The empty upper part of the image leaves room for lamps or a shelf without covering the plumes.

How do you choose the size and material?

PLASTER AND SILK is a single image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. At a height of 260 cm the full image is about 460 cm wide; on a narrower wall, shift the crop so that it includes the tallest plume and one of the dense groups. The print is eco-friendly and certified.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – natural canvas weave, the most versatile material; the fine fibres of the plumes remain legible even from about a metre away, for example at the breakfast table.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – trowelled plaster texture; this textured material emphasises the plaster background of the design on a living room wall viewed from several metres away.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a pronounced coarse sand grain texture, neither smooth nor satin; an alternative for a large restaurant wall, where the grain combines with the beige of the leaves.
• Mura Natur – eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic; an alternative if you prefer a matt surface on which the white of the plumes looks soft.

How can you buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample from the product page: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days. Hold it against the wall and check at home how the white plumes and the taupe background look in your light and what texture the material has. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and if you wish, we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. On request, the studio will also adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior, for example warming the background to suit a wooden floor. Orders are usually completed within 3–7 working days; shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and to other countries it is charged at the rate shown in the basket. On request, we arrange installation throughout Europe, priced individually.
