PROCESSION - wall mural of slender trees in mist for the living room

The trunks stand side by side like columns in a long gallery, and their crowns intertwine high above into pale lace. With this slender trees wall mural, the wall gains rhythm and depth, yet it stays quiet. Mist, creamy beige and white calm the room rather than filling it.

What does the design show?

A dense, even row of tall, slender trees stretches across the full width of the image. The straight trunks divide the wall at similar intervals, and the crowns merge at the top into a continuous, lacy line beneath a band of pale grey-blue sky. The left half is warmer: there the crowns take on creamy and golden-beige tones. Towards the right of the image the trees turn white, and the whole scene becomes cooler and lighter. The tallest white trunk stands roughly three quarters of the way across, measured from the left edge. Along the bottom runs a band of peeling plaster with white flakes on warm sand, warmer on the left of the image and brightened by white mist on the right.

On a wall 260 cm high, the image is about 460 cm wide. The band of sky at the top takes up about 40–50 cm, the band of plaster at the bottom about 60–70 cm, and the tallest trees reach about 220 cm. The painterly texture and worn patches make the design look like a painting on an old wall rather than a photograph of a forest.

Which interiors does it suit?

In the living room, place a low sofa or an armchair with a wooden frame in front of it: the furniture will mainly cover the lower band of plaster, while the rhythm of the trunks remains visible above the backrest. The beiges of the design are echoed in linen, oak and travertine, so the wall suits Japandi and minimalist interiors. In a hallway or a long corridor, the row of trees leads the eye along the wall. On a wall about 4–5 m wide, the trunks form an even avenue, and a low console leaves the centre uncovered. In a walk-in wardrobe, the light, misty palette does not compete with clothes or the mirror; complete it with a walnut chest of drawers or a cream pouffe. If your window is on one side, consider which half of the image will fall closer to the light: the white part will become even brighter, while the warmer part will soften cool daylight.

How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. On a narrower wall, decide whether the crop should include the warmer left part or the lighter right part with the tallest white trunk.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – a natural canvas weave, the most versatile material. The fine weave does not overpower the thin branches, which you will appreciate when viewing the wall up close, for example in a hallway.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a trowelled plaster texture with a structured finish. It emphasises the peeling band at the bottom, and the whole image looks like a mural painted on a wall.

An alternative is Mura Vinyl Sabbia with its pronounced coarse sand grain texture – this material is neither smooth nor satin, and the pronounced grain looks best in a living room viewed from a few metres away. Another option is Mura Natur, an eco-friendly, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic non-woven, on which the soft transitions of the mist remain calm.
