RIVULET - wall mural with ginkgo and white streaks for a bedroom

White streaks run down the middle of the wall like trickles of water on a window pane, and above them float three groups of see-through ginkgo leaves. A bedroom gets a light, blue backdrop with vertical movement that leads the eye upwards and looks calm above a low bed.

What can you see in the design?

Three groups of leaves fill the upper two thirds of the image: one on the left, one in the middle and one on the right side of the image. The middle one is the widest and touches the top edge. Each group has a darker, turquoise heart and lighter, lilac-blue edges, and the leaves overlap like patches of spilled watercolour. Vertical white brush streaks run through the composition: a wide one in the lower part, just to the right of centre, a narrower one low to the left of centre and a thin one at the top, to the right of centre. Thin lines in the colour of ochre outline the leaves, and from each group long, thin stalks hang down to the bottom edge. The background is pale blue and smooth; only by the white streaks can delicate, painterly scuffs be seen.

On a wall 260 cm high, the middle group of leaves is about 1.8 m wide, and the wide white streak extends over the lowest 70 cm or so of the wall.

Which interiors does it suit?

Bedroom. The headboard hides only the calm band of stalks, so all three groups of leaves stay above your head. The pale blue background pairs well with white percale bedding, a sky-coloured cashmere throw and bleached oak; in a townhouse with tall windows the vertical streaks emphasise the height of the room.

Bathroom. A freestanding bath in front of the wall covers the lower band, and the white streaks above it evoke running water. The design suits terrazzo, chrome and teak.

Dressing room. At a short viewing distance the details show: the ochre outlines and the veins of the leaves. The wide streak behind a low pouffe in dusty-blue velvet creates a light backdrop for clothes on the rails along the side walls.

How do you choose the size and material?

We print RIVULET as one image to the size of your wall. In the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page you enter the size, choose the material and set the crop. At a height of 260 cm the full image is about 4.6 m wide; on a shorter wall, keep the wide white streak in the crop, because without it the design loses its vertical rhythm.

Hold it up by the bed and look at it in the evening by the bedside lamp too: you will see how the pale blue background and the ochre lines look in your light and what texture the chosen material has. You can create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and if you would rather have a ready-made proposal, we will prepare a studio visualisation in 1–2 working days. On request, the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop, for example by moving the white streak closer to the middle of the bed.
