SALT MARSH - wall mural with cream grasses for the bedroom

Light, feathery grass plumes lean one way and then the other across the wall, as if a gentle breeze were passing through the room. Cream plumes on warm grey brighten the interior and calm it without a single strong colour. This is a botanical wall that makes it easy to slow down in the evening.

What does the design show?

This is the lightest design in the collection: soft cream plumes dominate, with a few darker, grey-olive ones standing among them. The cream plumes reach the top edge in three places – in the top left corner, in the centre and along the right edge of the image. A dark plume cuts diagonally across the middle of the left half and gives the composition its rhythm. The plumes lean alternately to the left and to the right, while at the bottom thin, sparse blades spread out, letting the background show through.

The background is warm grey with a mottled, rubbed finish, lighter in the lower part, with soft, mist-like streaks. On a wall 260 cm high the image is about 460 cm wide, and the feathery parts of the plumes take up roughly the upper half of the height, that is about 130 cm. Up close you can see individual fibres; from a few metres away you see a calm surface in cream, warm grey and muted olive.

Which interiors does it suit?

Its most natural home is the bedroom. The light tones do not overwhelm the wall behind the bed, and the plumes rise high above the headboard, so a bed with bedside tables will hide only the thin lower blades. The design goes well with linen bedding, off-white and pale wood.

In a dining room the cream grasses form a calm backdrop for the table: warm walnut or oak brings out the warmth of the grey and cream in the design, while terracotta or dusty pink chairs become the only stronger accent. In a bathroom, pair the design with travertine, beige stone and matt ceramics, and you will keep the whole space in one warm palette. The design sits comfortably in Japandi interiors, modern classic schemes and minimalism with natural materials.

How do I choose the size and material?

Each design is one large image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page – on a narrower wall you can choose, for example, a section with the central cream plume or with the dark plume on the left of the image.

• Mura Vinyl Canvas – a natural canvas weave, the most versatile material; the fine weave complements the soft fibres of the plumes.
• Mura Vinyl Intonaco – a trowelled plaster texture; the structured surface brings out the rubbed, misty background.
• Mura Vinyl Sabbia – a pronounced coarse sand grain texture, neither smooth nor satin; it looks best on a wide wall viewed from a few metres away.
• Mura Natur – an eco-friendly matt non-woven, odourless and hypoallergenic, if you want the linework of the grasses to come first.

In a bedroom, where you see the wall up close, from one or two metres away, choose Canvas or Intonaco; Sabbia and Natur are the alternatives.

How can I buy with confidence?

Before you order the whole wall, order a sample: a print of about 90 × 50 cm on one or two materials, which we dispatch within 1–3 working days. With a light design this matters – you can check at home how the cream and warm grey look in the morning and in the evening, and how the texture of the material works with your fabrics. You can also create an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, and on request we will prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. On request, our studio can also adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. Orders are usually completed in 3–7 working days, shipping within Poland and Europe is free, and on request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, individually quoted.

You will find more designs with dense reeds and grasses in matt grey in the Silver Reeds collection, and other ideas for the wall behind the bed in the Bedroom collection. If you are unsure which to choose, book a consultation with our team.
