SAND MIRAGE - beige wall mural with horse outlines for bedroom

From a distance it is a warm, beige wall with soft streaks. Only after a moment do horses at a gallop emerge from it, pale and translucent, like shapes in sand carried by the wind. The wall gains movement, but not a single dark patch.

What can you see in the design?

SAND MIRAGE shows white silhouettes of horses running to the right. Three are the largest. The first, on the left of the image, has a raised neck and its head close to the top edge, at roughly one third of the width. The second runs through the middle with an outstretched neck and a flying mane; its head falls just right of centre, about 140–180 cm above the floor on a wall 260 cm high. The third is on the right, with its head not far from the edge. Paler outlines of further horses dissolve at the top and in the lower right corner, so they are hard to count: you read them rather as a herd in mist. The silhouettes have no eyes or details; they are flat patches of white and ivory with soft edges. The middle horse measures about 1.9 m from tail to nose. The background moves from warm beige to powder pink, with delicate streaks and a fine pattern of thin lines, which up close resembles the texture of fabric.

How does it differ from ROSEWATER RUN?

ROSEWATER RUN is distinctly pink, and the horses there are drawn with a thin, transparent line, with one main silhouette. SAND MIRAGE stays beige, sandy; the horses are filled, pale patches and take up the whole width of the wall.

Which interior does it suit?

In a bedroom it goes with sand-coloured linen, pale oak and a jute rug. A low bed will cover the legs of the horses, and the heads will stay above it. It is also a design for a teenager's room: the horses are present but not literal, and the palette of beige and pink is calm and grown-up, so the wall will not age along with the furniture. Put a desk and a small lamp low and to the side, so that they do not reach any of the heads. The third room is a bathroom with a freestanding bath and a sand-coloured floor, where the design brings dunes to mind.

How do you choose the size and material?

A beige wall mural with horses is a single image that we print to the size of your wall. You choose the width, height, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. The design has no single hero, so it can be trimmed freely: on a wall about 2.5 m wide you will fit one or two large silhouettes. Move the crop until the edge of the wall cuts through none of the heads.

On Mura Vinyl Canvas, the most versatile material, with the texture of natural canvas, the design looks like fabric stretched across the wall. Mura Vinyl Intonaco, structured, with the texture of trowelled plaster, brings it closer to a fresco: in side light the white silhouettes seem sunk into the wall. If you prefer a more distinct grain, the alternative is Mura Vinyl Sabbia (a pronounced coarse sand grain texture; the material is neither smooth nor satin). The fourth option is Mura Natur: an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How do you buy with confidence?

With such a pale design the shade decides everything: the same beige will look warmer in yellow light and pinker by a west-facing window. You can check this by ordering a sample. It is a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials, ordered from the product page; we send it within 1–3 working days. On the sample you will judge the colours and the texture of the material beside your own bedding or curtains. You make an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room yourself on the product page, and if you ask, we prepare a studio visualisation within 1–2 working days. The studio can also adapt the composition, colours and crop on request, for example shift the silhouettes relative to the bed. Order completion usually takes 3–7 working days. Shipping in Poland and Europe is free, and to other countries the basket rate applies. On request we arrange installation across Europe, quoted individually.

A second design with horse outlines and portraits of white horses on a cream ground are in the Horses collection. More light motifs for above the bed are in wall murals and wallpaper for the bedroom.
