SATIN SWAY - beige ginkgo leaf wall mural for a study

Here the leaves look as if the wind had just stirred them: the edges curl and twist like folds of silk. The movement of long brushstrokes brings to life the wall behind a desk or in a corridor, and the beige and ivory keep the whole in a calm, warm tone.

What can you see in the design?

The white ginkgo leaves are built of long, flowing brushstrokes, and their edges curl like fabric. On the left side of the image stands a cluster of three leaves: one cropped by the edge, the largest with a high, twisted edge, and a smaller one, low down. In the middle spreads a wide fan, above it by the top edge you can see a pale, cropped leaf, and on the right two leaves stand one above the other. Thin stalks run down in long arcs to the bottom edge.

The background is beige and ivory, with vertical, worn streaks of sand and pale grey and warm, ochre glimmers in the top left corner. The scale is large: on a wall 260 cm high the wide fan in the middle and the top leaf on the right are about 1.4 m wide, and the lower leaves at the sides about 70–90 cm.

Which interiors does it suit?

Study. Behind a desk the design looks like a large painting; if you place the desk facing the room, the people you speak to will see it too on video calls. Beige goes with a dark herringbone parquet, a caramel leather armchair and a cream lacquered desk.

Long corridor. Leaves laid along the whole wall guide the eye, and the movement of the brushstrokes gives the passage a direction. It suits a pre-war townhouse with an oak parquet floor and a low bench by the wall.

Bedroom. Behind a low bed without a tall headboard, warm beige and white give a calm backdrop for sleep, especially with whitewashed oak and sandy linen.

How do you choose the size and material?

SATIN SWAY is made as one large image printed to the size of your wall. You choose the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. At a height of 260 cm the full design is about 4.6 m wide; on a narrower study wall decide whether the crop should keep the cluster on the left or the wide fan from the middle.
