SEA GLASS QUILT - boho wall mural with ginkgo leaves for a hallway

Vertical stripes of sea blue, sand and coral are laid out like stitched-together, faded panels of cloth, and on them lie pale ginkgo leaves. The design brings a relaxed, holiday mood and plenty of colour into the room, but the faded tones are not loud. It suits a home where colour is welcome from the very threshold.

What can you see in the design?

The background is made of vertical, worn fields in deep sea blue, sandy beige, grey-blue and coral, giving the effect of stitched-together, faded panels of cloth. Over them lie numerous ginkgo leaves in a pale, icy blue, cream and a delicate pink, with finely drawn veins. A group of leaves stands on the left of the image and in the middle; in the middle at the top a light blue leaf on a long, curved stalk stands out, and on the right at the top the largest, cream leaf, whose stalk runs almost to the bottom edge. In the lower half, on the right, lie larger, grey-blue leaves. Coral fields can be seen by the left edge, low in the middle and by the right edge. On a wall 260 cm high the cream leaf on the right is about 130 cm wide, and the coral field in the middle takes up a strip from about 55 to about 95 cm above the floor.

Which interiors does it suit?

Hallway and hall. The colourful fields brighten the entrance and give it character at once. A low walnut bench with coral cushions and a low teak cabinet with a glass bowl, as in the setting in a modernist house in Palm Springs, will cover only the bottom of the wall, and the leaves will stay at eye level.

Kitchen with dining area. A table with a marble top in the middle of the room and bentwood chairs go with tiles in sandy, sea-blue and terracotta patterns. Plan the kitchen cabinets on the opposite wall, and leave at most a low sideboard by the mural.

Living room. With rattan, pale wood and linen the design recalls a house by the beach. Cushions in coral and sea blue are enough to tie the sofa to the mural.

How do you choose the size and material?

SEA GLASS QUILT is a single large image printed to the size of your wall; at a height of 260 cm it is about 4.6 m wide. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. In a narrow hallway choose the section with the light blue leaf on the curved stalk and the cream leaf on the right – it is the most legible part of the design.

If you want less coral, or the stripes arranged differently, the studio will adjust the composition, colours and crop to the interior.
