A white horse stands motionless against warm, rusty earth and dark brown. It is a strong wall: large rectangular fields of colour build the interior like an abstract picture, and the pale silhouette of the horse lights them from within.

What can you see in the design?

SIENNA STANCE shows a whole white horse standing side-on, with its head lowered and turned towards the viewer. The head is to the left of the centre of the picture, from the top edge, which the ear touches, to about three quarters of the height. On a wall 260 cm high with the full crop (about 460 cm wide), the head measures about 200 cm, and the dark, almost black muzzle falls about 60 cm above the floor. The pale body takes up the right half of the picture; the legs show at the bottom as warm, brown outlines. Behind the head, on the left, runs a broad horizontal band of rusty sienna. At the top, above the horse's back, lies a dark brown rectangle, and across the animal's flank passes a vertical rusty patch, as if the background showed through the coat. The rest is filled with warm beige and sand, with a blue tint in the bottom left corner. The surface looks as if laid on with a palette knife: cracks, abrasions and the edges of planes are visible.

How does it differ from similar designs?

CLAY AND CREAM has a similar head on the left, but it is a tight portrait in a calm beige, with a narrow band of terracotta. Here the horse is visible whole, and rust and dark brown take up a large part of the wall, so the design is clearly warmer and stronger.

Which interiors suit it?

In a dining room the rusty band meets a dark walnut table and chairs upholstered in leather of a similar shade; place the table closer to the right part of the wall, under the horse's body. In a living room the design suits a sofa in the colour of sand, a floor of light concrete or stone, and one rusty accent on the coffee table. In a hotel lobby or a restaurant dining room it works from a distance, because the large fields of colour can be read from the entrance. The horse's muzzle falls low, so leave the floor empty in front of the left part of the wall, or put at most a very low bench there.

How do you choose the size and the material?

A rust wall mural with a white horse is a single image printed to the size of your wall; you set the dimensions, the material and the crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. The horse takes up about three quarters of the width of the picture, so the design looks best on a wall with proportions close to the full crop. On a narrower wall choose a crop with the head and the front of the body, and leave the rump outside it.

Mura Vinyl Intonaco, a textured material with a trowelled plaster texture, is the natural choice here: the cracks and abrasions visible in the picture take on the structure of plaster. Mura Vinyl Canvas, the most versatile, has a natural canvas weave and smooths the transitions between the beige and the rust. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia with a pronounced coarse sand grain, which is neither smooth nor satin, and Mura Natur: an eco-friendly non-woven, matt, odour-free, hypoallergenic.

How can you buy with confidence?

Rusty sienna changes with the light more than beige does: in the sun it is orange, in the evening it darkens towards brown. To see this at home, order a sample from the product page. It is a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials, dispatched within 1–3 working days; on it you will see the colours and the texture of the material beside the table, the sofa and the floor. The AI visualisation on a photo of your own room is available on the product page and you make it yourself, and we prepare a studio visualisation on request in 1–2 working days. For a hotel or restaurant interior the studio will adapt the composition, the colours and the crop on request. We usually complete orders in 3–7 working days, with free shipping in Poland and Europe (other countries at the rate in the basket). On request we arrange installation anywhere in Europe, quoted individually.

You will find gentler portraits in beige and grey, and herds in motion, in the Horses collection, and the other animal motifs in the artistic wallpapers and wall murals with animals section. Designing a hotel or a restaurant? Tell us about it during a consultation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the lead time?

Usually 7–10 working days from layout approval. Before printing, our studio sends you a layout preview for approval.

What if the print differs from the sample?

We guarantee that the colour and texture of your wallpaper will match a sample of the same design on the same material: if it differs, we will reprint the whole wallpaper at no cost. If a single panel has a defect, we will reprint the defective panels as part of a complaint.

Can I manage the installation myself?

The wallpaper comes as numbered panels; you apply the paste to the wall and hang the panels edge to edge. For large formats we recommend a professional installer; on request, we arrange installation across Europe with an individual quote.

Which material should I choose?

Mura Vinyl Canvas has a canvas texture and is the most versatile; Mura Vinyl Intonaco has a float-finished plaster texture. The alternatives are Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a distinct sand texture, and Mura Natur, a matt non-woven; you will see the difference best on a free sample.
