SLATE HEATH - shrub wall mural in blue and sand for the bedroom

The wall turns into a misty heath at dawn: dark, airy shrubs stand in the foreground, with their cream silhouettes glowing behind them. What does the design show?

Across the lower part of the image, from the left edge to the right, runs a dense row of feathery shrubs with thin, branching stems. They are slate blue and darken towards the bottom edge, as if growing out of shadow. Behind them rise pale shrubs of the same shape in shades of sand and cream. On the left side of the image they are lower and more translucent; on the right they reach almost to the top edge.

At the top, the background is pale blue and light grey, warming to sand on the right. It shows vertical rubbed-back marks and a plaster texture that give the whole design a painterly character. On a wall 260 cm high, the tallest dark shrubs measure about 160 cm, while the pale ones on the right reach about 230 cm. The branches are finely drawn: up close you will see individual twigs; from a few metres away, a soft, misty haze.

Which interior does it suit?

Bedroom. The dark band of shrubs running low along the floor fills the wall behind the bed: the headboard covers only the bottom, while the pale crowns and blue background remain visible above it. Bedding in powder blue, linen or sand will echo the colours of the image.

Dining room. At the table you see the wall from two or three metres away, a distance at which the fine drawing of the branches blends into a soft mist. Bleached wood, linen and slate-coloured chairs will pick up the palette.

Study. The muted colours do not draw attention away from work, and pale ash and grey wool suit the cooler part of the image. The design fits Scandinavian style and calm minimalism, and looks its best in diffused daylight, which brings out the transition from blue to sand.

How do you choose the size and material?

Each design is a single image printed to the size of your wall. You set the size, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. At a height of 260 cm, the full image is about 464 cm wide. On a narrower wall, move the crop to the right if you want the tall, pale shrubs, or to the left if you prefer more of the blue background.
