SNOW DRIFTERS - horses in snowy mist wall mural for bedroom

Five pale horses emerge from a swirl of snow so quietly that they almost vanish into the white. This is the calmest of the winter herds in the collection: plenty of mist, plenty of empty snow and a milky blue that pushes the wall back into depth.

What does the design show?

SNOW DRIFTERS shows five horses with cream and sandy-beige coats, running straight towards the viewer. The leader has its head slightly left of centre, with a grey, tousled forelock and a darker muzzle; it is the only one shown clearly, from the ears to the hooves. The three horses on the left are paler and paler, and the last is only an outline in the mist. The fifth runs separately, on the right. The right part of the image is taken up by frosted trees with white, feathery branches reaching the top edge. The lower third is a smooth expanse of snow, rising gently towards the right. The background shifts from milky blue to a warm, sandy glow behind the horses, without sharp outlines. On a wall 260 cm high with a full crop (about 465 cm wide), the leading horse is about 150 cm from the ears to the hooves, the heads fall about 130–200 cm above the floor, and the strip of clear snow at the bottom runs from about 45 cm on the left to about 80 cm on the right.

Which winter herd should you choose?

Three designs in the collection show a herd on open snow. CHESTNUT RUSH is the strongest in colour, with chestnut horses and dark manes. POWDER STAMPEDE has golden-beige horses in an even row and a tall cloud of snow. SNOW DRIFTERS is the lightest and mistiest of them: less gallop, more silence.

Which interior does it suit?

In a bedroom it is exactly this calm that counts. A low bed with a headboard up to about 100 cm will stand against the snow and the legs, and all the heads stay above it. Put the bedside lamp on the right, under the frosted trees, where there is no head. In a bathroom with a freestanding bath, the smooth expanse of snow falls just behind its edge, and pale stone and brushed nickel suit the cool palette. In a living room the design calls for a low, light sofa and few accessories: the fewer objects in front of the wall, the better you see how the horses gradually disappear into the mist.

How do you choose the size and material?

This wall mural of horses in snowy mist is one image that we print to the size of your wall. You choose the width, height, material and crop in the “Calculate price and order” configurator on the product page. At a height of 260 cm the whole herd fits in a band about 280 cm wide, so on a narrower wall you give up part of the trees on the right or the empty mist on the left.

The main materials are Mura Vinyl Canvas – the most versatile, with a natural canvas texture – and Mura Vinyl Intonaco, textured, with a trowelled plaster texture. This design has large, smooth planes of mist and snow, so the texture of the material will be clearly visible on them: canvas gives an even, fine weave, plaster the irregular texture of a wall. Instead you can choose Mura Vinyl Sabbia, with a distinct coarse sand grain texture that is neither smooth nor satin, or Mura Natur, an ecological non-woven: matt, odourless and hypoallergenic.

How do you buy with confidence?

With such a light palette half a tone makes the difference: the milky blue may drift into grey or cool white in your lighting. A sample lets you see this before you order the whole wall. You order it from the product page as a print of about 90 × 50 cm, on one or two materials; we send it within 1–3 working days, and you judge the colours and the texture of the material at home. The second step is an AI visualisation on a photo of your own room, which you make yourself on the product page. The DECOMURA team will prepare a studio visualisation on request within 1–2 working days, and the studio will adapt the composition, colours and crop to your interior. We usually need 3–7 working days to complete an order. We ship free to Poland and European countries, and to other countries at the rate shown in the basket, and we arrange installation across Europe on request, with an individual quote.

Herds stronger in colour, pairs and portraits of horses await in the Horses collection. We have gathered more calm, light designs in the section wall murals and wallpapers for the bedroom.
